The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is situated in the heart of Pakistan. Realizing the need of the country in general and that of the area in particular, it has endeavored to produce qualified and trained manpower in various fields of education.
In pursuance of this objective, IUB has established various departments and is offering knowledge and skills to young students of Bahawalpur division. IUB is fully aware of its responsibilities to train qualified human force through imparting better understanding of purpose of educational innovations and the role which is expected from them in the socioeconomic progress from Pakistan. Furthermore, IUB is determined to contribute remarkably in producing sufficiently trained planners, administrators, scientists, computer experts and educationist to the labour market. Simultaneously, IUB is embarking upon research to cater for the national needs in general and the local ones in particular.
For achieving such goals, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor is dedicated to expand the facilities and intellectual pursuits for the betterment of this area. It was in pursuance of this objective that he decided to work together with Desert Rangers Bahawalpur to spread-out educational facilities to the people of Bahawalpur. To materialize this ambition an MoU has been signed to supplement each other's endeavors to improve the quality of existing educational facilities and augment further jointly in order to develop an educated society.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor and Mr. Muhammad Nawaz, Director General Punjab Rangers inaugurated the Rangers Campus of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur on 08th March, 2011 to translate this vision into reality. First intake in academic disciplines of BBA (Hons), BS (CS), & MCS comprising 240 students for spring Semester 2011 was commenced on 21st March, 2011.
