Profile Summary

Dr. Zaheer Abbas received his M. Sc degree inMathematics from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in 2002. He completed M.Phil & Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Quaid-i-Azam UniversityIslamabad in 2005 and 2010, respectively. He is now a Professor ofMathematics in the Department of Mathematics at the Islamia University ofBahawalpur, Pakistan. He focused his research interest specifically onNonlinear Analysis of various engineering problems. He constructed severalanalytical and numerical solutions for non-linear problems. His work is mainlyin Fluid Mechanics (Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, stretching sheet flows,Boundary layer flows), Two/Three-Phase Flows in Channel/Pipes, Fluid Dynamicsof Peristaltic/Blood Flows, Numerical Solutions of DEs/Numerical Methods, Heatand Mass Transfer Analysis, Lie Group Analysis/Symmetries of DEs, HomotopyAnalysis Method. Dr. Zaheer Abbas has published more than 251 research papersin well-reputed international journals with a cumulative impact factor of>550. He has more than 8415 citations with 49 h-index. He is also a regularreviewer of renowned international research journals and a member of theEditorial Board of Two international journals. In recognition of hisoutstanding work, he has been awarded the Dr. Raziuddin Siddiqui Prize forYoung Scientists in Mathematics (2014) by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences andRPA (2010, 2011, 2012, 2016) by the Pakistan Council for Science andTechnology. Furthermore, 16 PhD and 85 MPhil students have completed theirdegrees, and 07 PhD and 07 MPhil students are working under his supervision.
