Ar. Ayaz Mahmood has obtained his Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and the MS, Master of Architecture degree from Imperial College of Business Studies, Lahore and doing his PhD in Architecture from University of Management and Technology, Lahore. In 2008 he got the opportunity to appoint as a Chief Architect in The Islamia University Bahawalpur. In 2021, he was appointed as a Chairman Department of Architecture in The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. His research emphasizes the Conservation and rehabilitation of religious buildings mainly in Southern Punjab area. After his bachelors, he has worked on many Architectural projects including the project (Environmental Rehabilitation and Heritage Conservation of the Uch Monument Complex in the city of Uch Dist. Bahawalpur), the project of United Nation development Program under the UNDP-GEF (Appropriate Building Design for Uch and Other Cities of Southern Punjab, Pakistan.
