A special seminar on the services of Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and celebration of Pakistan’s victory
The Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, organized a special seminar on the services of eminent Muslim researchers and intellectual Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah regarding interfaith harmony. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran told the students that high character and maturity should be our motto. Always support the truth because it is the power of truth that has made Pakistan proud all over the world, and our long-time enemy India has achieved nothing but humiliation and disgrace. At the end of the seminar, a cake was cut to pay tribute to the success of Operation Bunyan Marsoos and the services of the Pakistani armed forces and prayers were offered for the security of the dear homeland. Dr. Syed Iftikhar Ali Gillani delivered the keynote address. On this occasion, Dr. Sajila Kausar said in her opening remarks that Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah was an all-around personality who would not be out of place if he were called the shield of Islam. Syed Iftikhar Ali Gillani, while introducing Dr. Hamidullah said that one hundred thousand people accepted Islam at his hands. He has authored more than one thousand academic articles and more than one hundred books. His life is a shining example of interfaith harmony. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman enlightened the audience about Dr. Hamidullah's research efforts. He said that Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah's famous book Khutbat e Bahawalpur is the legacy of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, which has been translated into many languages of the world.

شعبہ ادیان عالم وبین المذاہب ہم آہنگی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیراہتمام ممتاز مسلم محقق و دانشور ڈاکٹر محمد حمید اللہ کی بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کے حوالے سے خدمات کے سلسلے میں ایک خصوصی سیمینار کا اہتمام کیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اس موقع پر مہمان خصوصی تھے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے طلباء و طالبات سے کہا کردار کی بلندی اور پختگی ہمارا شعار ہونا چاہیے۔ ہمیشہ حق کا ساتھ دیں کیونکہ یہ حق کی طاقت ہی ہے جس نے پاکستان کا سر دنیا بھر میں فخر سے بلند کردیا ہے اور ہمارے دیرینہ دشمن بھارت کو ذلت اور رسوائی کے سوا کچھ ہاتھ نہیں آیا۔ سیمینار کے اختتام پر آپریشن بنیان مرصوص کی کامیابی پر اور افواج پاکستان کی خدمات کو خراج تحسین پیش کرنے کے لیے کیک کاٹا گیا اور وطن عزیز کی سلامتی کے لیے دعائیں کی گئیں۔ ڈاکٹر سید افتخار علی گیلانی نے کلیدی خطاب پیش کیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر سجیلہ کوثر نے افتتاحی کلمات میں کہا کہ ڈاکٹر محمد حمید اللہ ایک ہمہ جہت شخصیت تھے جنہیں اگر اسلام کی ڈھال کہا جائے تو بے جا نہ ہوگا۔ سید افتخار علی گیلانی نے ڈاکٹر حمید اللہ کا تعارف کرواتے ہوئے بتایا کہ آپ کے ہاتھ پر ایک لاکھ لوگوں نے اسلام قبول کیا۔ آپ نے ایک ہزار سے زائد علمی مضامین اور سو سے زائد کتابیں تصنیف کیں۔ آپ کی زندگی بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کی روشن مثال ہے۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن نے ڈاکٹر حمید اللہ کی تحقیقی کاوشوں سے حاضرین کو روشناس کروایا۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ ڈاکٹر محمد حمید اللہ کی شہرہ آفاق کتاب خطبات بہاولپور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی میراث ہے جس کا دنیا کی متعدد زبانوں میں ترجمہ ہوچکا ہے۔
