Chancellor

The Governor of the Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan is the formal head of the university, and is called Chancellor of the University.

Pro-Chancellor

The Provincial Minister of the Punjab for Higher Education is Pro-Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

Vice Chancellor

The university's chief executive is the Vice-Chancellor, appointed by the Governor of Punjab, Pakistan. Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar is the current Vice-Chancellor.

Pro Vice Chancellor

Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar is Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
