“Accreditation and Future Prospects: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s Faculty of Agriculture and Environment”

Bahawalpur () The Departments of Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur including Institute of Forest Sciences, Agronomy, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Institute of Agro Industry and Environment have been accredited recently.  A team visited from National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Islamabad headed by Prof. Dr. Fayyaz ul Hassan, Muhammad Faraz Afzal, Assistant Director of Coordination NAEAC, subject experts Prof. Dr. Deen Muhammad Zahid, Dr. Shabbir Hussain, Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, Dr. Zafar ul Hai Gondal and Dr. Abdul Ghafoor. Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi Dean Faculty of Agriculture / Director Institute of Forest Sciences along with their faculty members gave a detailed briefing on the past achievements and future plans of the Institute of Forest Sciences in the conference room of the Dean's Office, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment. The team then inspected the institute's infrastructure including laboratories, classrooms, library, faculty offices, research area, facilities provided to students etc. The inspection team had a detailed discussion with the students individually about the teaching, learning and syllabus matters of the institute. The inspection team checked the files of the courses and met all the teachers individually and discussed the problems faced by the teachers and also gave useful suggestions. In the concluding session of the two-day visit, the team conveyed their valuable feedback to Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi, Director Institute of Forest Sciences. All faculty members were present in this session. Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi thanked the distinguished guests and assured that in the future the institute will continue to follow the suggestions given to improve the quality of education.

بہاولپور () فیکلٹی آف ایگری کلچر اینڈ اینوائرنمنٹ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے مختلف شعبہ جات بشمول انسٹیٹیوٹ آف فاریسٹ سائنسز، ایگرانومی، پلانٹ بریڈنگ اینڈ جینیٹکس، انسٹیٹیوٹ آف ایگرو انڈسٹری اینڈ اینوائرنمنٹ کی گزشتہ دنوں ایکریڈیٹیشن کیلئے اعلی سرکاری وفد نے دورہ کیا۔ وفد میں نیشنل ایگریکلچر ایجوکیشن ایکریڈیٹیشن کونسل، ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن آف پاکستان اسلام آباد سے چیئرپرسن و کنوینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فیاض الحسن، محمد فراز افضل اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر کوآرڈی نیشن NAEAC، سبجیکٹ ایکسپرٹس میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر دین محمد زاہد، ڈاکٹر شبیر حسین، ڈاکٹر عبدالغفار، ڈاکٹر ظفر الحئی گوندل اور ڈاکٹر عبدالغفور تشریف لائے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر ترابی ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایگری کلچر / ڈائریکٹر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف فاریسٹ سائنسز نے فیکلٹی ممبرز کے ہمراہ گزشتہ کامیابیوں اور مستقبل کے لائحہ عمل پر تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ بعد ازاں ٹیم نے انسٹیٹیوٹ کے انفراسٹرکچر بشمول لیبارٹریز، کلاس رومز، لائبریر ی، فیکلٹی آفسز، ریسرچ ایریا، طلباء کو مہیا کی گئی سہولیات کا معائنہ کیا۔ انسپکشن ٹیم نے انفرادی طور پر طلباء و طالبات سے انسٹیٹیوٹ کے ٹیچنگ، لرننگ اور سلیبس کے معاملات کے بارے میں تفصیلی گفتگو کی۔ انسپکشن ٹیم نے کورسز کی فائلز چیک کیں اور تمام اساتذہ کرام سے فرداً فرداً ملاقات کی اور اساتذہ کو درپیش مسائل کے بارے میں بات چیت کی اور مشورے بھی دیئے۔ دو روزہ دورے کے اختتامی سیشن میں ٹیم نے اپنی آراء سے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر حسین ترابی ڈائریکٹر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف فاریسٹ سائنسز کو آگاہ کیا۔ اس سیشن میں تمام فیکلٹی ممبرز موجود تھے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر حسین ترابی نے معزز مہمانان گرامی کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور یقین دلایا کہ مستقبل میں انسٹیٹیوٹ تعلیمی معیار کو مزید بہتر کرنے کیلئے دی گئی تجاویز پر عمل پیرا رہے گا۔
