Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has said that the alumni of Islamia University of Bahawalpur are rendering outstanding services at the national and international levels. Immediate steps are being taken to promote the alumni’s links with the university so that the former students can connect with the mother university and contribute to its construction and development. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while meeting a delegation of IUB alumni at the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore today.  On this occasion, IUB alumni, including Professor Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Dean Faculty of Electrical Engineering UET Lahore, Dr. Tanveer Qasim PRO UET Lahore, Ijaz Ahmed Faqi President IUBean Alumni, Khawaja Khalid Aftab, South Asia Global Channel, Rana Khalid Qadri, former adviser Chief Minister Punjab, Sajjad Siddiqui Director General Punjab Assembly and Muhammad Ahmed advocate were present. The Vice Chancellor said that an overseas chapter of IUB Alumni is being formed to establish links with alumni serving in foreign countries, especially international institutions. A group will be formed by collecting data of 2,000 alumni immediately so that these individuals can participate in the development of the university, especially in its economic revival. The Vice Chancellor said that practical steps have been initiated to solve the financial and other problems of Islamia University Bahawalpur. The teachers and students are in direct contact, and the Vice Chancellor’s office is open to all of them.  A forum called Panchayat is being formed for students. Under this forum, one day a week will be reserved for students, and they will be able to meet the Vice Chancellor directly for their problems and their immediate solutions. The Vice Chancellor said that uniform implementation of merit in the university and equal treatment for all will be ensured. For this, alumni should come forward and support the upliftment of merit, improvement of educational standards, and development in the university. The Vice Chancellor said that the centenary celebrations of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will begin in June. In this regard, 100 prominent alumni from Pakistan and abroad will be appreciated for their high services to the country and nation and will be attracted to serve the university. A big alumni function will be held at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in connection with the centenary celebrations. In which a large number of alumni will be invited. Islamabad and Lahore alumni chapters will also be strengthened, and meetings will be held.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی ایلومنائی کے افراد قومی اور عالمی سطح پر نمایاں خدمات سرانجام دے رہے ہیں۔ ایلومنائی کے جامعہ سے روابط کے فروغ کے لیے فوری اقدامات کیے جارہے ہیں تاکہ سابقہ طلباء و طالبات مادرِ علمی سے جڑ کر اس کی تعمیر وترقی میں اپنا حصہ ڈال سکیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار آج یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی لاہور میں جامعہ اسلامیہ بہاولپور کی ایلومنائی کے ایک وفد سے ملاقات کے دوران کیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد شعیب ڈین فیکلٹی آف الیکٹریکل انجیئنرنگ یو ای ٹی لاہور، ڈاکٹر تنویر قاسم  پی آر او یو ای ٹی لاہور، اعجاز احمد فقہی صدر آئی یوبین ایلومنائی، خواجہ خالد آفتاب ساوتھ ایشیاء گلوبل چینل ، رانا خالد قادری سابق ایڈوائزر وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب، سجاد صدیقی ڈائریکٹر جنرل پنجاب اسمبلی اور محمد احمد ایڈوکیٹ ایلومنائی موجود تھے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ جلد ہی آئی یوبی ایلومینائی کا اوورسیز چیپٹر تشکیل دیا جارہا ہے تاکہ بیرون ممالک خصوصاً عالمی اِداروں میں خدمات سرانجام دینے والے ایلومنائی سے روابط پیدا کیے جاسکیں۔ فوری طور پر 2 ہزار ایلومینائی کا ڈیٹا اکٹھا کر کے ایک گروپ تشکیل دیا جائے گا تاکہ یہ افراد جامعہ کی ترقی خصوصاً معاشی بحالی میں شریک ہو سکیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے بتایا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے مالی اور دیگر مسائل کے حل کے لیے عملی اقدامات کا آغاز دیا گیا ہے۔ اساتذہ اور طلباءوطالبات سے براہ راست رابطے میں ہیں اور وائس چانسلر دفتر ان سب کے لیے کھلا ہے۔ طلباءوطالبات کے لیے پنچایت نامی فورم تشکیل دیا جارہا ہے۔ اس فورم کے تحت ہفتے میں ایک دن طلباءوطالبات کے لیے مخصوص ہوگا اور وہ اپنے مسائل اور اُن کے فوری حل کے لیے براہ راست وائس چانسلر سے ملاقات کرسکیں گے۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ یونیورسٹی میں میرٹ کا یکساں نفاذ اور سب کے لیے ایک جیسا برتاؤ یقینی بنایا جائےگا۔ اس کے لیے ایلومنائی کو چاہیے کہ وہ آگے آئیں اور یونیورسٹی میں میرٹ کی سربلندی، تعلیمی معیار کی بہتری اور ترقی کے لیے ساتھ دیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ ماہ جون سے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی سو سالہ تقریبات کا آغاز ہوجائے گا۔ اس سلسلے میں پاکستان اور بیرون ممالک سے سو نمایاں ایلومینائی کو ملک وقوم کے لیے اعلیٰ خدمات کو سراہا جائے گا اور یونیورسٹی کے لیے خدمات پر راغب کیا جائے گا۔ سو سالہ تقریبات کے سلسلے میں ایلومنائی کی ایک بڑی تقریب اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں منعقد ہوگی۔ جس میں بڑی تعداد میں ایلومینائی کو مدعو کیا جائے گا۔ اسلام آباد اور لاہور ایلومنائی چیپٹر کو بھی مستحکم کیا جائے گا اور اجلاس منعقد کیے جائیں گے۔
