The Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, organized its First Faculty Appreciation Ceremony 2025 to honor the distinguished faculty members who have demonstrated exceptional performance in the domains of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization in line with the Higher Education Commission defined ORIC KPIs for the fiscal year 2024–25. The ceremony was held at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and was graced by distinguished guests including Prof. Dr. Mazhar Ayaz, Vice Chancellor, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Vice Chancellor, The Govt. Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur; and Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur as the Chief Guests of the event. The Guests of Honor included Dr. Sajjad Sarwar, Pulmonologist, Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Dr. Mohsin Zulfiqar, Co-Chair, ORIC Steering Committee, our proud sponsor Jam Iqbal Haider, CEO, AA Group of Colleges and Health Sciences, Dr. Shafia Arshad, Additional Director ORIC, The Govt. Sadiq College Women University, Dr. Asad Abrar, Director, Drug Testing Laboratory, Bahawalpur, Dr. Taseer Sallahudin, Director ORIC, The Govt. Sadiq College Women University, Dr. Omer Naseer, Director ORIC, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. In the welcome address by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atif, Director ORIC, who presented a comprehensive overview of ORIC’s initiatives and accomplishments during the fiscal year 2024–25. His presentation highlighted the Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s research achievements, KPIs attainment, industry collaborations, commercialization outcomes, and policy-level contributions. He also expressed sincere gratitude to the respected Vice Chancellor, faculty members, and industry partners for their continued support in strengthening the university’s research and innovation ecosystem. Prominent Researcher Awards were presented to 16 outstanding faculty members for their remarkable contributions across key performance indicators including patents and copyrights, consultancy contracts, revenue generation, policy advocacy, civic engagement, and completion of research projects funded by Higher Education Commission and Non-Higher Education Commission sources. Appreciation Certificates were awarded to faculty members who made notable contributions toward proposal submissions, collaborations, and community engagement activities during the fiscal year 2024–25. The event also recognized top-performing faculties based on their ORIC performance. Top 5 faculties include Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture & Environment, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Chemical & Biological Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy. In a special segment, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the dedicated ORIC team members Dr. Muhammad Sajid Manager, Innovation & Commercialization, Hafiz Faizan Ahmad Assistant Manager Research, Dr. Umer Bilal Administrative Officer for their relentless efforts and exceptional contributions in achieving the Higher Education Commission ORIC “X Category” Ranking. Commemorative shields were also presented to the chief guests, guests of Honor, and sponsors in acknowledgment of their valuable support and presence at the event. In his closing address, Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, commended the efforts of the ORIC team and faculty members, emphasizing that the growth of research and innovation is pivotal to the university’s mission of academic excellence and national development. He appreciated the dedication of all award recipients and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to fostering a vibrant culture of research, innovation, and commercialization. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and a group photo session, marking a memorable day of celebration and recognition for The Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s thriving research community.

آفس آف ریسرچ انوویشن اینڈ کمرشلائزیشن اورک اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے اپنی پہلی فیکلٹی تعریفی کارکردگی تقریب کا انعقاد کیا۔ تقریب ان فیکلٹی ممبران کے اعزاز میں منعقد کی گئی جنہوں نے ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کے مطابق تحقیق اختراع اور کمرشلائزیشن کے شعبوں میں غیر معمولی کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شازیہ انجم وائس چانسلر دی گورنمنٹ صادق کالج ویمن یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مظہر ایاز وائس چانسلر چولستان یونیورسٹی آف ویٹرنری اینیمل سائنسز تقریب کے مہمانان خصوصی تھے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے اورک ٹیم اور فیکلٹی ممبران کی کاوشوں کو سراہتے ہوئے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ تحقیق اور اختراعات کا فروغ یونیورسٹی کے تعلیمی کارکردگی اور قومی ترقی کے مشن کے لیے اہم ہے۔ انہوں نے تمام ایوارڈ وصول کنندگان کی لگن کو سراہا اور تحقیق اختراعات اور کمرشلائزیشن کے متحرک کلچر کو فروغ دینے کے لیے یونیورسٹی کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ مہمانانِ اعزاز میں ڈاکٹر سجاد سرور، پلمونولوجسٹ بہاول وکٹوریہ ہسپتال ڈاکٹر محسن ذوالفقار، شریک چیئر اورک اسٹیئرنگ کمیٹی، جام اقبال حیدر سی ای او اے اے گروپ آف کالجز اینڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز، ڈاکٹر شافعہ ارشد ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹراورک گورنمنٹ صادق کالج ویمن یونیورسٹی بہاولپور، ڈاکٹر اسد ابرار، ڈائریکٹر ڈرگ ٹیسٹنگ لیبارٹری بہاولپور، ڈاکٹر تاثیر صلاح الدین ڈائریکٹر اورک گورنمنٹ صادق کالج ویمن یونیورسٹی بہاول پور، ڈاکٹر عمر نصیر ڈائریکٹر اورک چولستان یونیورسٹی ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز بہاول پور شریک ہوئے۔ ڈائریکٹراورک پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد عاطف نے خطبہ استقبالیہ پیش کیا اور سال 2024-25 کے دوران اورک کے اقدامات اور کامیابیوں کا ایک جامع جائزہ پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور کی تحقیقی کامیابیوں صنعت میں تعاون کمرشلائزیشن کے نتائج اور پالیسیوں پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے یونیورسٹی کے تحقیقی اور اختراعی ماحولیاتی نظام کو مضبوط بنانے میں مسلسل تعاون کرنے پر وائس چانسلر، فیکلٹی ممبران اور انڈسٹری کے شراکت داروں کا تہہ دل سے شکریہ ادا کیا۔ ممتاز ریسرچر ایوارڈز 16 نمایاں فیکلٹی ممبران کو ان کی کارکردگی کے اہم اشاریوں بشمول پیٹنٹ اور کاپی رائٹس کنسلٹنسی کنٹریکٹس ریونیو جنریشن پالیسی کی وکالت شہری مصروفیت اور ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن اور نان ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کے ذرائع سے مالی امداد فراہم کرنے والے تحقیقی منصوبوں کی تکمیل کے لیے پیش کیے گئے۔ تعریفی سرٹیفکیٹس فیکلٹی ممبران کو دیے گئے جنہوں نے مالی سال 2024-25 کے دوران پروپوزل کی گذارشات تعاون اور کمیونٹی کی شمولیت کی سرگرمیوں میں قابل ذکر تعاون کیا۔ ٹاپ 5 فیکلٹیوں میں فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ انوائرمنٹ فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز فیکلٹی آف فارمیسی شامل ہیں۔ اورک  ٹیم کے ممبران ڈاکٹر محمد ساجد منیجراورک ، حافظ فیضان احمد اسسٹنٹ منیجراورک، ڈاکٹر عمر بلال ایڈمنسٹریٹو آفیسر کو ان کی انتھک کوششوں اور ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کیٹیک اورک  کے حصول میں غیر معمولی شراکت پر تعریفی اسناد پیش کی گئیں۔
