Higher Education Commission Inter-Varsity Cricket Final Round Championship has started at the IUB

The six-day mega event of Higher Education Commission Inter-Varsity Cricket Final Round Championship has started at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Teams from 16 universities across the country are participating in the event. The opening ceremony of the event was held at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus. Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob was the chief guest at the opening ceremony and met all the teams. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that it is an honor for us that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is hosting the Intervarsity Cricket Final Round Championship organized by Higher Education Commission. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is working for academic and research activities as well as sports promotion. On this occasion, Director Sports Amjad Farooq Waraich said that according to the leadership and vision of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, students are actively participating in sports as well as academic activities. Chairman Sports Committee and Dean Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani said that the Vice Chancellor is active for the promotion of sports and all sports teams in the university are fully supported. Four matches were held on the first day of the championship, which were held at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus, Abbasia Campus, Bahawalpur Cricket Stadium and Sadiq Public School Bahawalpur.

ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن انٹر ورسٹی کرکٹ فائنل راؤنڈ چیمپئن شپ کا چھ روزہ میگا ایونٹ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپو رمیں شروع ہو گیا ہے۔ ایونٹ میں ملک بھر سے 16 یو نیورسٹیو ں کی ٹیمیں حصہ لیے رہی ہیں۔ ایونٹ کی افتتاحی تقریب بغداد الجدید کیمپس میں منعقد ہوئی۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے افتتاحی تقریب میں مہمان خصوصی تھے اور تمام ٹیموں سے ملاقات کی۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر کا کہنا تھا کہ ہمارے لیے یہ اعزاز ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کے زیر اہتمام ہونے والے انٹرورسٹی کرکٹ فائنل راؤنڈ چیمپئن شپ کی میزبانی کر رہی ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اکیڈمک اور تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کے ساتھ ساتھ کھیلوں کے فروغ کے لیے بھی کام کر رہی ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور آنے والے وقت میں کھیلوں کومزید فروغ دینے کے لیے اقدامات کر رہی ہے۔ اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹر سپورٹس امجد فاروق وڑائچ کا کہنا تھا کہ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی قیادت اور ان کے وژن کے مطابق طلباء وطالبات تعلیمی سرگرمیوں کے ساتھ ساتھ کھیلوں میں بھی بھرپور انداز میں حصہ لے رہے ہیں۔ چیئرمین سپورٹس کمیٹی و ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آفتاب گیلانی کا کہنا تھا کہ وائس چانسلر کھیلوں کے فروغ کے لیے متحرک ہیں اور یونیورسٹی میں مختلف کھیلوں کی تمام ٹیموں کو بھرپور سپورٹ کیا جا تا ہے۔ چیمپئن شپ کے پہلے روز چارمیچز منعقدہوئے جو بغداد الجدید کیمپس، عباسیہ کیمپس، بہاول پور کرکٹ سٹیڈیم اور صادق پبلک سکول بہاول پور میں منعقد ہوئے۔
