IUB faculty members attended Financial Literacy Week and Punjab Cultural Day as special guests

Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Dr. Areeba Khan, Director Financial Assistance attended the Literacy Week as special guests. The Financial Literacy Week and Punjab Culture Day were organized by the State Bank of Pakistan and Arts Council Bahawalpur in collaboration with local educational institutions at Rasheediya Auditorium Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti highlighted the rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions of Punjab and the message of everlasting peace on the occasion of Punjab Culture Day. The event included speeches, Punjabi and Saraiki poetry and poetry recitation, traditional performances and colorful cultural activities of Punjab. Professor Rubina Bhatti appreciated the State Bank of Pakistan’s initiatives in financial literacy, responsible financial behavior and skills, financial inclusion especially for women, youth, people with special abilities and the general public. She further said that Islamia University Bahawalpur envisions innovations and sustainable social and economic empowerment of all segments of society. She emphasized on achieving the goals of SDGs with mutual cooperation and innovation.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز اور ڈاکٹر اریبہ خان ڈائریکٹر فنانشل اسسٹنس نے لٹریسی ویک میں بطور مہمان خصوصی شرکت کی۔ فنانشل لٹریسی ویک اور پنجاب کلچر ڈے کے موقع پر اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان اور آرٹس کونسل بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام مقامی تعلیم اداروں کے اشتراک سے رشیدیہ آڈیٹوریم بہاولپور میں منعقد ہوا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی نے پنجاب کے ثقافتی دن کے موقع پر پنجاب کے بھرپور ثقافتی ورثے اور متحرک روایات اور لازوال امن کے پیغام پر روشنی ڈالی۔ تقریب میں تقاریر، پنجابی اور سرائیکی شاعری اور مشاعرہ، روایتی پرفارمنس اور پنجاب کی رنگا رنگ ثقافتی سرگرمیاں شامل تھیں۔ پروفیسر روبینہ بھٹی نے اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان کے مالیاتی خواندگی، ذمہ دارانہ مالیاتی رویے اور مہارت، مالیاتی شمولیت بالخصوص خواتین، نوجوانوں، خصوصی صلاحیتوں کے حامل افراد اور عام لوگوں کے لیے اقدامات کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور معاشرے کے تمام طبقات کی اختراعات اور پائیدار سماجی اور معاشی بااختیار بنانے کا تصور کرتی ہے۔ انہوں نے باہمی تعاون اور اختراعات کے ساتھ SDGs کے اہداف کو حاصل کرنے پر زور دیا۔
