The department of Media Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, hosted a webinar on the topic of bloody Palestine, Israeli aggression and silence of the world powers. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in his inaugural address, thanked the distinguished guests and participants and said that the foundation of this issue is a century old. Referring to Muhammad Assad's book Road to Makkah, he said that the Palestinian issue could only be resolved with the help of the Arabs. He said that the ongoing bloodshed was not the solution to the problem. He appreciated the initiative of the department of Media Studies and said that it would help the participants to understand the Kashmir issue and its background. Former Punjab Chief Minister and Analyst Prof. Dr. Hassan Askari Rizvi in his address said that the tragedy of Palestine is highly reprehensible and this condemnation is also necessary so that people can understand the difference between right and wrong. It is a mean of paying homage to courage and spirit of Palestini people. He said that Pakistan and its leaders have supported Palestine even before and even before the establishment of Pakistan. But these advances and statements can reduce the severity of the violence but do not offer a solution to the problem. "We have to understand that a small country with many Muslim countries around it has gone beyond tyranny. On one side Israel has made the world happy with its knowledge, technology and economic stability." At the same time, the weak economies of Islamic countries and frivolous diplomacy and tactics have forced the Muslim world to accept Israeli policies. He described in detail the role of Arab countries, Hamas, Al-Fatah and Western countries. Prof. Dr. Rafat Hussain, former Chairman, department of Defense Strategy, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, addressing the webinar, said that Israel's siege of Gaza is illegal and immoral. Israel justifies its security but use its soft power, research, technology and knowledge, to wreak havoc on the world. He slammed the Arab countries that have targeted Israel. He acknowledged that the Muslim world could not develop a common strategy because of the interests of these countries. Former Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam said: "Muslims have no statement of their own. We are only a Western statement at the end of the international order." The Western media is still presenting the Israeli-Palestinian issue as if Palestine and Israel are on the same level in their power and technology. The OIC seems to be failing again. All Muslim countries will come together to condemn the resolution, but no one will be ready to go against Israel. He said that the West is formulating its strategy in the light of our book and hadiths but we are not taking advantage of them. We have to take light from Quran and Hadith in our research. Bureau Chief Al-Arabiya TV Dr. Mansoor Jaffar spoke on Palestine elaborating on the current and historical situation, he spoke in detail about the efforts and role of Palestinian Movement leader Yasser Arafat and Hamas. In this regard, he said that the Palestinians will continue this goal with their blood and efforts. In response, he said that we should teach the reality of the Palestinian issue in our courses so that our generation is aware that the Western statement based on lies is false. If this fact is not revealed to our generation, then the Western statement will be solid. In response to a question, he did not discuss the role of Russia and China, saying that Russia and China may be hostile to human rights, but Muslims. At the end of the webinar, Dr. Abdul Wahid Khan, Chairman, department of Media Studies, thanked all the guest speakers and said that all Muslim governments should form a platform. He said that the Islamic University Bahawalpur will continue to express sympathy with the Palestinians and raise awareness among the students about the historical background of Palestine and the development of the Muslim world. The program was attended by a large number of faculty and students of the department of Media, Deans, Heads of departments and teachers and citizens of various universities of Pakistan and appreciated the efforts of the department of Media Studies in organizing this webinar in a timely manner.

ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف میڈیا سٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام خون آلود فلسطین اسرائیلی جارحیت اور عالمی طاقتوں کی خاموشی کے موضوع پرویبینار منعقد ہوا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے اپنے افتتاحی خطاب میں معزز مہمانوں اور شرکاء کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اس مسئلے کی بنیاد یں ایک صدی پرانی ہیں۔ انہوں نے محمد اسد کی کتاب Road to Makkahکا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ فلسطین کا مسئلہ اہل عرب کے ساتھ مل کر ہی حل ہو سکتا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اب جو خونریزی جاری ہے وہ اس مسئلے کا حل نہیں۔انہوں نے ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف میڈیا سٹڈیز کے اس اقدام کو سراہا اور اس سے شرکاء کو مسئلہ کشمیر کو سمجھنے اور اس کے پس منظر کی حقیقت کو جاننے میں مدد ملے گی۔سابق عبوری وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب اور تجزیہ کار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حسن عسکری رضوی نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ سانحہ فلسطین انتہائی قابل مذمت ہے اور یہ مذمت اس لیے بھی ضروری ہے کہ حق و باطل کا فر ق لوگوں کی سمجھ میں آسکے اور یہ اہتمام فلسطینیوں کی جراًت اور جذبے کو خراج عقیدت پیش کرنے کا ذریعہ ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ قیام پاکستان سے پہلے بھی اور اب بھی پاکستان اور اسکے رہنماؤں نے فلسطین کی حمایت کی ہے۔ لیکن یہ حمایت اور بیانات ظلم و تشددکی شدت کو کم تو کر سکتے ہیں لیکن اس مسئلے کا حل پیش نہیں کر سکتے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں سمجھناہوگاکہ ایک چھوٹا سا ملک جس کے گرد کئی مسلمان ممالک بھی موجود ہوں وہ ظلم کی حد سے آگے نکل گیا ہے۔انہوں نے کہا کہ جہاں اسرائیل نے علم، ٹیکنالوجی اور اقتصادیات کے استحکام سے دنیا کو اپنا مطمع کر رکھا ہے وہیں اسلامی ممالک کی کمزور اقتصادیات اور غیر سنجیدہ ڈپلومیسی اور لائحہ عمل نے بھی مسلم دنیا کو اسرائیلی پالیسیوں کو قبول کرنے پر مجبور کررکھا ہے۔انہوں نے عرب ممالک، حماس، الفتح اور مغربی ممالک کے کردار کو تفصیل سے بیان کیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر رفعت حسین سابق چیئرمین شعبہ دفاعی حکمت عملی قائداعظم یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد نے ویبینار سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اسرائیل کا غزہ کا محاصرہ غیر قانونی اور غیر اخلاقی عمل ہے اسرائیل اپنی سیکو رٹی کے حوالے اپنا جواز پیش کرتا ہے لیکن اس محاصرے سے وہاں اشیائے خورد وو نوش اور ادویات کا مسلسل بحران ہے۔انہوں نے بتایا کہ اسرائیل نے اپنی سافٹ پاور یعنی تحقیق اور ٹیکنالوجی اور علم کو کس طرح دنیا میں تشدد کے لیے استعمال کیا۔انہوں نے ان عرب ممالک پر کڑی تنقید کی جنہوں نے اسرائیل کو تسلیم کیا اور کہاکہ ان ممالک کے مفادات کی وجہ سے مسلم دنیا اپنا کوئی مشترکہ لائحہ عمل تیار نہیں کر سکتی۔سابق ترجمان وزارت خارجہ محترمہ تسنیم اسلم نے کہا کہ مسلمانوں کا اپنا کوئی بیانیہ نہیں ہم بین الاقوامی آرڈر کے آخری سرے پر صرف مغربی بیانیہ وصول کر رہے ہیں۔مغربی میڈیا اب بھی اسرائیل فلسطین مسئلے کو اس طرح پیش کر رہی ہے جیسے فلسطین اور اسرائیل اپنی طاقت اور ٹیکنالوجی میں ایک ہی معیار پر ہیں۔ OICایک مرتبہ پھر ناکام نظر آرہی ہے۔ مذمتی قرارداد کے لیے تومسلمان ممالک اکھٹے ہوں گے مگر اسرائیل کے خلاف کوئی بھی جانے کے لیے تیار نہیں ہوگا کیونکہ ہم ٹیکنالوجی کے لیے مغرب کے دست نگر ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ مغرب ہماری کتاب اور احادیث کی روشنی میں اپنی حکمت عملی تیار کر رہے ہیں لیکن ہم ان سے فائدہ نہیں اٹھارہے ہیں ہمیں اپنی تحقیق میں قرآن و حدیث سے روشنی لینا ہوگی۔بیورو چیف العریبیہ ٹی وی ڈاکٹر منصور جعفر نے فلسطین کی موجودہ اور تاریخی صورتحال کا تفصیل سے تذکرہ کرتے ہوئے تحریک فلسطین کے لیڈر یاسر عرفات اور حماس کی کوششوں اور کردار پر تفصیلی خطاب کیا اس ضمن میں انہوں نے کہا کہ فلسطینی اپنے خون اور اپنی کوششوں سے اس مقصد کو جاری رکھیں گے۔ایک سوال کے جواب میں انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم اپنے کورسز میں مسئلہ فلسطین کی حقیقت کو پڑھائیں تاکہ ہماری نسل کو جھوٹ پر مبنی جو مغربی بیانیہ مل رہا ہے ہماری نسل آگاہ ہوسکے کہ یہ بیانیہ غلط ہے۔ اگر یہ حقیقت ہماری نسل پر آشکار نہ ہوئی تو مغربی بیانیہ ٹھوس ہو جائے گا۔ا نہوں نے ایک سوال کے جواب میں روس اور چین کے کردار پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ روس اور چین ہیومن رائٹس پر تو کھٹرے ہو سکتے ہیں لیکن مسلمانوں کے معاملے پر شاید وہ نہ کھٹرے ہوں۔ویبینار کے آخر میں ڈاکٹر عبدالواحد خان چیئرمین ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف میڈیا سٹڈیزنے تمام مہمان مقررین کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ تمام مسلم حکومتوں کو چاہئے کہ وہ اپنے اپنے اکابرین پر مشتمل ایک پلیٹ فارم تشکیل دیں تاکہ ہم اپنے تشخص کو مستحکم کر سکیں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپورفلسطین کے ساتھ اظہار ہمدردی اور طلبا میں مسئلہ فلسطین کے تاریخی پس منظر اور مسلم دنیا کی ترقی کے سلسلے میں شعور و آگاہی کا سلسلہ جاری رکھے گی۔ویبینار کی نظامت کے فرائض راؤمحمد شاہد نے سر انجام دیے۔پروگرام میں ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف میڈیا کے اساتذہ طلبا، ڈینز، ہیڈ آف ڈیپارٹمنٹ اور پاکستان کی مختلف یونیورسٹیز کے اساتذہ اور شہریوں نے کثیر تعداد میں شرکت کی اور اس ویبینار کے بروقت انعقاد پر ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف میڈیا سٹڈیز کی کوشش کو سراہا۔
