"Qiraat-e-Kalam-e-Iqbal" ceremony on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day celebrations held by the IUB.

Iqbal's focus is on the youth. Every individual in the society needs to benefit from the poetry of Iqbal, these views were expressed by Prof. Dr. Mussarat Wajid while addressing the Qiraat-e-Kalam-e-Iqbal ceremony in connection with the 79th Independence Day celebrations. According to details, the Qiraat-e-Kalam-e-Iqbal ceremony was organized yesterday in collaboration with the Department of Persian, Department of Iqbal Studies and IUB Literary Society at the Islamic Learning Auditorium, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The ceremony was presided over by General Secretary IUB Literary Society Zara Samin. In the welcome address, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asghar Sial, Department of Iqbal Studies, emphasized the usefulness and importance of the poetry of Iqbal and said that Allama Iqbal is a poet of the individual and his popularity is continuously increasing. Prof. Dr. Mussarat Wajid presented Khudi Ka Sar Nahan Tarnam with great enthusiasm and received great appreciation from the audience. Rimsha Hafeez, executive member, IUB Literary Society, presented a question and answer speech verbatim, which left the gathering in silence. Zara Sameen from the Department of Civil Engineering and Faizan Ayub from the Department of Iqbal Studies presented the words of Iqbal verbatim. Representing the Department of Persian, Prof. Dr. Mussarat Wajid termed the words of Iqbal essential for all members of society. She said that Iqbal has written for women, men and children, but the center of his thought is the youth. On this occasion, she also presented Iqbal’s Persian poems. At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Mazhar Hussain, Department of History and Advisor to the IUB Literary Society, explained the historical background of Iqbal’s thought and said that the Allahabad sermon is a masterpiece of Iqbal’s foresight. He definitely emphasized the need to understand Allama Iqbal’s sermons and adopt modern thought.

اقبال کی فکر کا مرکز نوجوان ہیں۔ معاشرے کے ہر فرد کو کلام اقبال سے استفادے کی ضرورت ہے، ان خیالات کا اظہار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مسرت واجد نے 79 ویں جشن آزادی کی تقریبات کے حوالے سے "قرآتِ کلامِ اقبال" کی تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق گزشتہ روز شعبہ فارسی, شعبہ اقبال اسٹڈیز اور آئی یو بی لٹریری سوسائٹی کے اشتراک سے قرأت کلام اقبال کی تقریب کا انعقاد اسلامک لرننگ آڈیٹوریم، دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں کیا گیا۔ تقریب کا باقاعدہ آغاز تلاوت کلام پاک سے ہوا جس کی سعادت آئی یو بی قرأت اینڈ نعت سوسائٹی کی صدر میمونہ امین نے حاصل کی، جبکہ اقبال کا نعتیہ کلام، اقبال سٹڈیز کے طالب علم محمد انور نے پیش کیا۔ تقریب کی نقابت کے فرائض جنرل سیکرٹری آئی یو بی لٹریری سوسائٹی زارا ثمین نے انجام دئیے۔ استقبالیہ خطاب میں اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اصغر سیال شعبہ اقبال سٹڈیز نے کلام اقبال کی افادیت و اہمیت پر زور دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ علامہ اقبال شاعرِ فردا ہیں اور ان کی مقبولیت میں مسلسل اضافہ ہورہا ہے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مسرت واجد نے "خودی کا سر نہاں" ترنم کے ساتھ پیش کیا اور حاضرین سے خوب داد وصول کی۔ رمشا حفیظ ایگزیکٹو ممبر آئی یو بی لٹریری سوسائٹی سوسائٹی نے شکوہ و جواب شکوہ تحت اللفظ پیش کیا جس سے محفل پر سکوت طاری رہا۔ شعبہ سول انجینئرنگ سے زارا ثمین اور شعبہ اقبال اسٹڈیز سے فیضان ایوب نے کلام اقبال تحت اللفظ پیش کیا۔ صدر شعبہ فارسی کی نمائندگی کرتے ہوئے پروفیسر مسرت واجد نے کلام اقبال کو معاشرے کے تمام افراد کے لیے ضروری قراردیا انہوں نے کہا کہ اقبال نے عورتوں، مردوں اور بچوں سب کے لیے لکھا ہے، لیکن ان کی فکر کا مرکز نوجوان ہے۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے اقبال کے فارسی اشعار بھی پیش کیے۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر ڈاکٹر مظہر حسین شعبہ تاریخ و مشیر آئی یو بی لٹریری سوسائٹی نے فکر اقبال کا تاریخ پس منظر بیان کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ خطبہ اِلہٰ اباد اقبال کی دور اندیشی کا کمال ہے۔ انہوں نے علامہ اقبال کے خطبات کو سمجھنے اور جدید فکر اپنانے کی ضرورت پر ضرور دیا۔ آخر میں انہوں نے تمام شرکاء کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور طلباء کی کارکردگی کو سراہا۔
