The Federal Government has Approved the Largest Ever Grant in the History of the IUB

The Federal Government has approved the largest ever grant of Rs.4090.294 million in the history of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur which is certainly a great welcome.  This will usher in a new era of educational development in the region. Leading parliamentarian and intellectual Syed Tabish Alwari said that in line with the vision of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Islamia University is achieving new goals. He said that with the federal financial grant, Institute of Physics, Department of Mechanical Engineering, South Punjab Institute of Agriculture would be set up in the university and a new campus would be opened on one hundred acres in Ahmadpur East besides a new academic block and a hostel at Bahawalnagar Campus. Syed Tabish Alwari said that the efforts of the Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Development Ms. Shozab Kanwal in getting the approval of the said financial grant from the Central Committee of the Planning Commission are commendable.

وفاقی حکومت نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے لئے تاریخ کی سب سے بڑی گرانٹ منظور کی ہے جو یقیناًبڑی خوش آئندبات ہے 4090.294 ملین کی اس گرانٹ سے یونیورسٹی کی ترقی و توسیع ایک نیا سنگ میل عبور کریگی اور احمد پور شرقیہ میں یونیورسٹی کا نیا کیمپس قائم ہوگا جس سے علاقے میں تعلیمی ترقی کے ایک نئے دورکا آغاز ہو سکے گا۔معروف پارلیمنٹیرئن اور دانشور سید تابش الوری نے اظہار خیال کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ وائس چانسلرپروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کے ویژن کے مطابق اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی نئے اہداف حاصل کر رہی ہے تاکہ یونیورسٹی عالمی درجہ بندی میں بہتر مقام پاسکے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وفاقی مالی گرانٹ سے یونیورسٹی میں ایک نیا شعبہ انسٹیٹیوٹ آف فزکس، شعبہ میکینکل انجینئرنگ،جنوبی پنجاب انسٹیٹیوٹ آف ایگریکلچر قا ئم کیا جا ئیگا اور ایک سو ایکڑ رقبے پر احمد پور شرقیہ میں نیا کیمپس کھولنے کے علاوہ بہاولنگر کیمپس میں نیا ہوسٹل اور نیا انتظامی بلاک بنا یا جائیگا۔ سید تابش الوری نے کہا کہ متذکرہ مالی گرانٹ کی پلاننگ کمیشن کی مرکزی کمیٹی سے منظوری میں پارلیمانی سکریٹری محترمہ شوذب کنول کی کوششیں قابل داد ہیں بہاولپور کی محرومیوں کے ازالے کیلئے تمام علاقائی اراکین قومی و صوبائی اسمبلی کو اسی طرح مساعی جاری رکھنی ہونگی۔
