The Finance and Planning Committee of the IUB has approved budget for the year of 2021-22

The Finance and Planning Committee of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has approved budget recommendations worth Rs. 7204.425 million for the financial year 2021-22. The meeting of the committee was held at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus under the chairmanship of Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor. The budget focuses on the construction and development of the university, promotion of research activities and welfare of students. A record amount of Rs. 3572.060 million has been allocated for development expenditure. Scholarships for male and female students have been increased from Rs. 383 million to Rs. 470 million, while for research activities the amount has been increased from Rs. 100 million to Rs. 120 million. Vice Chancellor Dr. Athar Mahboob termed the budget for the next financial year as a historic budget of the university which will take the university on a new path of innovation and development. For the first time, Student Welfare Funds have been set up to help deserving students through a special committee which will provide scholarships to needy students. Similarly, a student insurance policy has been introduced for students in case of emergencies. Prof. Dr. Abu Bakar, treasurer, said in the briefing that last year, due to better fiscal management, the budget deficit was brought under control and turned into a surplus budget. This year, a special budget planning and investment section has been set up in the finance branch, which will bring transparency and innovation in financial matters with the help of the Directorate of IT, which will further reduce costs. Committee members included Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Chairman Mathematics Department, Prof. Dr. Raheela Khalid Qureshi, Chairperson Arabic Department, Manzar Javed Ali, Additional Secretary Universities, Higher Education Department Punjab, Muhammad Shehzad Akhtar, Director Local Fund Audit, Representative of Ministry of Finance Punjab and Prof. Dr. Abu Bakar, treasurer, Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

 اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی فنانس اینڈ پلاننگ کمیٹی نے مالیاتی سال 2021-22کے لیے 7204.425ملین روپے مالیت کی بجٹ سفارشات کی منظوری دے دی۔ کمیٹی کا اجلاس انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر کی سربراہی میں بغداد الجدید کیمپس میں منعقد ہوا۔ بجٹ میں یونیورسٹی کی تعمیر وترقی، تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کے فروغ اور طلبا وطالبات کی فلاح وبہبود پر خصوصی توجہ مرکوز کی گئی ہے۔ترقیاتی اخراجات کی مد میں 3572.060ملین روپے کی ریکارڈ رقم مختص کی گئی ہے۔ طلباء وطالبات کے لیے سکالرشپس کی مد میں رقم383ملین روپے سے بڑھا کر  470ملین روپے کر دی گئی ہے جبکہ تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کے لیے رقم 100ملین سے بڑھا کر 120ملین روپے کر دی گئی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر وفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر نے آئندہ مالیاتی سال کے بجٹ کو یونیورسٹی کا تاریخ ساز بجٹ قرار دیا جو جامعہ کو جدت اور ترقی کی نئی شاہراہ پر گامزن کردے گا۔ یونیورسٹی میں غیر معمولی ترقیاتی منصوبوں کا آغاز ہو گا  جوانفراسٹکچراور ڈویلپمنٹ میں اپنی مثال آپ ہوں گے۔ مستحق طلباء وطالبات کی امداد کے لیے پہلی بار سٹوڈنٹس ویلفیئرفنڈز قائم کیا گیا ہے جو ایک خصوصی کمیٹی کے ذریعے ضرورت مند طلباء وطالبات کو وظائف فراہم کرے گا۔ اسی طرح ناگہانی حالات سے دوچار ہونے والے طلباء وطالبات کے لیے سٹوڈنٹس انشورنش پالیسی متعارف کرائی گئی ہے۔ خزانہ دارپروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابوبکر نے بریفنگ میں بتایا کہ گزشتہ سال بہترین مالیاتی نظم و نسق کی بدولت بجٹ خسارے کو کنٹرول کرکے سرپلس بجٹ میں بدل دیا گیا تھا۔ اس سال خزانہ برانچ میں خصوصی بجٹ پلاننگ اینڈ ایونسٹمنٹ سیکشن قائم کیا گیا ہے جو ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف آئی ٹی کی مدد سے مالیاتی امور میں شفافیت اور جدت لائے گا جس سے اخراجات میں مزید کمی واقع ہو گی۔انتظامی اور مطابقت پیدا کرنے کے لیے ڈیپارٹمنٹ ڈویلپمنٹ فنڈزاور ڈویلپمنٹ انڈازمنٹ فنڈ قائم کیے گئے ہیں۔ اجلاس میں کمیٹی ممبران پروفیسر ڈاکٹر غلام مصطفی چیئر مین شعبہ ریاضی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر راحیلہ خالد قریشی، چیئر پرسن شعبہ عربی، منظر جاوید علی، ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری یونیورسٹیز ہائر ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ پنجاب،محمد شہزاد اختر، ڈائریکٹر لوکل فنڈ آڈٹ، نمائندہ سیکریٹری وزارت خزانہ پنجاب اورپروفیسر ڈاکٹر ابو بکر، خزانہ دار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے شرکت کی۔
