Bahawalpur (PR) Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran visited Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Deans, chairmen, directors and senior faculty members of various faculties were along with him. The main objective of the visit was to promote academia-industry linkages between Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, research and development, development of the capabilities of students and entrepreneurship. On this occasion, President of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Zafar Sharif, Vice President Muhammad Azam Qureshi, members of the Executive Committee, former presidents including Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar, Sheikh Muhammad Abbas Raza, Chaudhry Tahir Jamil, Mubashir Hussain, members of the chamber and representatives of print and electronic media were also present. Addressing the members of the chamber, the Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur said that strong linkages between academia and industry can play a key role in increasing development, research, innovation and employment opportunities in the region. He said that our students are playing an important role in technical training, internships, research and business projects in line with industrial needs. He said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is taking important steps to make young people productive citizens in collaboration with industry-related institutions. He said that if any need arises in the institutions to solve technical problems, you can also benefit from the services of the skilled students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Earlier, the Vice Chancellor and his accompanying guests were warmly welcomed upon their arrival at the beneficiary chamber. The President of the Chamber delivered a welcome speech in honor of the guests and congratulated the Vice Chancellor on his appointment in Bahawalpur. The President of the Chamber said that strong ties between academia and industry can create development and employment opportunities in the region. The President of the Chamber appreciated the positive role of the university and said that initiatives like joint working groups, training sessions and business incubation of the two institutions will benefit both education and industry. Appreciating a common future between the two institutions, he said that initiatives like joint study groups, training sessions and business incubation of the two institutions will benefit both education and industry. It was also agreed to work on a common action plan in the future between the two institutions and sign a memorandum of understanding. At the end of the ceremony, the Vice President of the Chamber, Muhammad Azam Qureshi, presented an expression of gratitude. The Chamber presented commemorative shields of the Chamber in honor of all the distinguished guests from the Vice Chancellor and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
