KHAWAJA FARID SEMINAR 

Khawaja Farid Chair aims to organize a Khawaja Farid Seminar on a yearly or quarterly basis. The seminar shall be a one-day event in which scholars, academics and researchers shall deliver their speeches on the topics related to Khawaja Farid’s work. This event shall be attended by the Students of the University as well as guests from other cities. By the end of the event, audience shall be able to better understand the personality of Khawaja Farid and the aspects of his legendary work. 

The arrangements of the KF Seminar shall include press coverage, hoardings and propagative tools, Student societies collaboration, Hall, guest’s sitting, food, lodging etc. 

KHAWAJA FARID ANNUAL SUFI PEACE FESTIVAL 

Khawaja Farid Annual Sufi Peace Festival shall be an epitome of a modern Sufi discourse. It shall successfully promote the Sufi-mystic narrative while deliberately keeping Khawaja Farid’s personality in the focus. At the end of the event, Khawaja Farid Chair shall be able to engage large diversified audience and be able to reiterate the Chair’s objective. 

The event shall comprise a full three-day festivity. There shall be various sessions divided in three days. The programs under those sessions shall be following: 

Sufi Majlis/Qawali, peace conference, Display of Rohi Culture (including real camels, rohi men and the models of Rohi dwellings) Cultural, food and Book stalls, theatrical performances on the life of Khawaja Farid and Sufism, paintings display, day trip to Derawar fort or a day trip to Kot Mithan Shrine. 

KHAWAJA FARID CHAIR MEDIA CELL 

Media has become a leading force in our society. Therefore, propagation and promotion of Sufism and personalities like Khawaja Farid shall also be done through media effectively. Khawaja Farid Chair shall use the tools of media to disseminate the teachings and message of Khawaja Farid.  

Khawaja Farid Chair shall assemble a team of young and vibrant media coordinators/spokesman who would all become the part of the Media Cell. This Media Cell shall then effectively use Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube Channel and Twitter to engage with audience and convey the message.  

KHAWAJA FARID CHAIR PRINTING AND PUBLICATION 

Printing and Publishing is one of the most important components of the Chair. The publication under the Chair shall include, magazines, brochures, re-printing the old manuscripts, catalogues, articles and books. All the printed material shall help scholars, researchers and students to better understand the work of Khawaja Farid.   

KHAWAJA FARID LITERARY FORUM 

Khawaja Farid Chair shall organize a literary forum. This Forum shall be dedicated towards unifying and bringing all the scholars who work on Khawaja Farid together under one platform. The Literary Forum shall facilitate them in all possible senses. Their opinion and viewpoints shall be given value. This Forum shall further form Committees which shall shelter likeminded Academics together. For instance, Khawaja Farid’s biographers shall be included under one committee whereas the experts on his poetry shall be included in another. 

ESTABLISHING A LINK BETWEEN KHAWAJA FARID CHAIR AND MUSEUM AND LIBRARY, KOT MITHAN SHARIF 

Khawaja Farid Foundation has established a library and museum under the auspices of Shrine Khawaja Ghulam Farid. The Museum and Library is dedicated to the work of Khawaja Farid only. All the relics, manuscripts, books and literary materials are related to the great Mystic himself. Therefore this institution holds a great value for someone interesting in Khawaja Farid. 

Khawaja Farid Chair shall collaborate with Khawaja Farid Foundation and formally agree on having access in the Museum and Library for research works. The books in the Library and the relics in the Museum shall be used for understanding the work of Khawaja Farid. 

ESTABLISHING A LINK BETWEEN ROHI PEACE FESTIVAL AND KHAWAJA FARID CHAIR 

Khawaja Farid Foundation organizes an annual Rohi Peace Festival in the middle of the desert from the past 22 years. The three-day event in the midst of the desert comprises various Cultural activities and Mystic-Mehfils. This event is a great source of inspiration as well as leisure. All the activities are focused on Khawaja Farid and contribute to the promotion of his work and personality. 

Khawaja Farid Chair shall sign an agreement with the Foundation and participate with its delegates as well as students, teachers of the University. This yearly participation shall not only promote the Event but would enhance the knowledge and understanding of local culture, folk lore and relationship of Khawaja Farid with culture amongst the students and delegates. 

PROMOTION OF RESEARCH WORK 

Khawaja Farid Chair shall facilitate all the researchers and scholars who are working or intend to work on the personality. There shall be a dedicated team within the Chair which shall liaison with the researchers. The books, material and manuscripts shall be collected and preserved at the behest of Chair so that shall be used in the future. 

YOUTH ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM 

Khawaja Farid Chair shall contribute in helping the youth by a revolutionary and unprecedented idea. It shall engage the youth through approaching them directly by modern communication techniques. The Chair shall organize a Khawaja Farid Internship Program.  

This internship   program shall engage the local schools and colleges and send their team to deliver power point presentations and lectures during the school hours regarding the basic information of Khawaja Farid and his message. This activity shall help young students acquaint with their local hero. Similarly, it shall also enhance their knowledge and provide them a benchmark. The Internship Program shall also handover pamphlets, basic material and Certificate of Participation at the culmination of the Internship. 

TASSAWUF WORKSHOP 

Khawaja Farid Chair has the potential and the capacity to become the catalyst of Sufi-revival. The Chair shall arrange a Tassawuf Learning Workshop in which teachers who are already well educated in this discipline shall educate the participants about the basic terminology, narrative of Sufism. The workshop shall be of couple of weeks to couple of months depending on type of course offered. The culmination of workshop shall enable participants to better understand Sufism and therefore be able to enjoy and appreciate the timeless message of Khawaja Farid more effectively.
