The 83rd meeting of Advanced Studies and Research Board of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was held at Abbasia Campus under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. Director Advanced Studies and Research Board Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha presented the agenda of the meeting and reviewed the implementation of the decisions made in the previous meeting. In the meeting, the titles of 152 PhD articles and the examiners were approved. Important decisions were taken in the meeting to bring the research standard as par with international standards. These include the policy of appointment of researchers to supervise research, procedure for publication of thesis by PhD scholars, appointment of PhD scholars to senior faculty members, integration of MPhil and MS classes in various departments, establishment of an online repository of MPhil and PhD thesis, appointment of MPhil and PhD supervisors at sub-campuses.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے ایڈوانسڈ سٹڈیز اینڈ ریسرچ بورڈ کا 83 واں اجلاس وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی زیر صدارت عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہوا۔ ڈائریکٹر ایڈوانسڈ سٹڈیز اینڈ ریسرچ بورڈ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا نے اجلاس کا ایجنڈہ اور گزشتہ اجلاس میں ہونے والے فیصلوں پر عملدرآمد کا جائزہ پیش کیا۔ اجلاس میں پی ایچ ڈی کے 152 مقالات کے عنوانات اور ممتحنین کی منظوری دی گئی۔ اجلاس میں تحقیقی معیارکو عالمی معیارات کے برابر لانے کے لیے اہم نوعیت کے فیصلے کیے گئے۔ ان میں ریسرچ کی نگرانی کے لیے محققین کی تعیناتی کی پالیسی، پی ایچ ڈی سکالرز کا مقالہ شائع کرنے کا طریقہ کار، سینئر فیکلٹی ممبرا ن کے لیے پی ایچ ڈی سکالرز کی تعیناتی، مختلف شعبہ جات میں ایم فل اور ایم ایس کلاسز کا انضمام، ایم فل اور پی ایچ ڈی تھیسیزکا آن لائن ذخیرے کا قیام، سب کیمپسز میں ایم فل اور پی ایچ ڈی سپروائزر کی تعیناتی جیسے اہم نوعیت کے فیصلے شامل تھے۔
