A cycle rally was organized by Green Campus Management the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in connection with the promotion of eco-friendly activities. The cycle rally started from Abbasia Campus and passed through DC Office, Farid Gate, Suholat Bazaar and ended back at Abbasia Campus. Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, was the chief guest on the occasion. Due to which efforts are being made at the international level to protect the earth from these harmful effects in the long run. He said that Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob in view of these factors launched the Green Campus Project at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur which is an individual program of its kind in Pakistani universities. He said that Cycling reduces environmental pollution as well as has a positive effect on health. Director Green Campus Dr. Abid Gul said that the series of cycling will be started in all the campuses. It has been started in Abbasia Campus today. He said that the purpose of these activities was to support the government in improving the quality of Air Indus. Dr. Kashif Akram said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur would work with the Bahawalpur local community to promote cycling. Dr. Fatima Khurram Bukhari said that female students are also increasingly participating in the cycling campaign.

گرین کیمپس مینجمنٹ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام ماحول دوست سرگرمیوں کے فروغ کے سلسلے میں سائیکل ریلی کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔ سائیکل ریلی عباسیہ کیمپس سے شروع ہوئی اور ڈی سی آفس، فرید گیٹ، سہولت بازار سے ہوتی ہوئی واپس عباسیہ کیمپس میں اختتام پذیر ہوئی۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جوا د اقبال ڈین فیکلٹی آف مینجمنٹ سائنسز مہمان خصوصی تھے۔انہوں نے کہا کہ کاربن گیسوں کے اخراج سے کرہ ارض پر انسانوں سمیت دیگر حیوانات اور نباتات کو گلوبل وارمینگ کی صورت میں غیر معمولی خطرات لاحق ہیں۔ جن کی بنا پر بین الاقوامی سطح پر کوششیں جاری ہیں تاکہ زمین کو دیرپاانداز سے ان مضر اثرات سے محفوظ رکھا جائے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے انہی عوامل کے پیش نظر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں گرین کیمپس پروجیکٹ کا آغاز کیا جو پاکستانی جامعات میں اپنی نوعیت کا انفرادی پروگرام ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سائیکلنگ سے ماحولیاتی آلودگی میں کمی کے ساتھ ساتھ صحت پر اچھے اثرات مرتب ہوتے ہیں۔ ڈائریکٹر گرین کیمپس ڈاکٹر عابد گل نے کہا کہ سیریز آف سائیکلنگ تمام کیمپسز میں شروع کی جائے گی آج عباسیہ کیمپس میں ا س کا آغاز کر دیا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس سرگرمیوں کا مقصد ائیر انڈس کوالٹی کو بہتر کرنے کے لیے حکومت کا ساتھ دینا تھا۔ڈاکٹر کاشف اکرم نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپورلوکل کمیونٹی کے ساتھ مل کر سائیکل سواری کر فروغ دے گی۔ ڈاکٹر فاطمہ خرم بخاری نے کہا کہ سائیکلنگ مہم میں طالبات بھی بڑھ چڑھ کر شریک ہیں۔
