A delegation of the National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council, Pakistan visited the Department of Horticultural Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur as part of the accreditation process. The visit commenced with an Inaugural Session held at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus, which was chaired by the Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, Pro-Vice Chancellor. The session highlighted the importance of quality assurance and continuous improvement in agricultural education. The purpose of the visit was to verify the implementation of quality standards developed by National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council and to ensure that these standards are being followed in true letter and spirit. Following the inaugural proceedings, the Subject Evaluator, Prof. Dr. Safina Naz, Department of Horticulture, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, visited the Department of Horticultural Sciences. She was warmly welcomed by the faculty members and students of the department. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nafees, Chairman, Department of Horticultural Sciences briefed the evaluator about the academic programs, teaching-learning processes, research activities, faculty profile, and achievements of the department. The evaluator also visited the research laboratories, experimental area, and other departmental facilities to assess infrastructure, ongoing research, and practical training opportunities available to students. The visit concluded with an interactive discussion, reflecting the department’s commitment to maintaining academic excellence, research quality, and alignment with national accreditation standards. The visit concluded with an exit meeting with the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, who expressed his gratitude to the evaluators for their visit and constructive feedback.

نیشنل ایگریکلچر ایجوکیشن ایکریڈیٹیشن کونسل کے ایک وفد نے ایکریڈیٹیشن کے سلسلے میں شعبہ ہارٹیکلچرل سائنسز، فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ انوائرمنٹ، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور کا دورہ کیا۔ دورے کا آغاز وائس چانسلر سیکرٹریٹ بغدادالجدید کیمپس میں منعقدہ ایک افتتاحی اجلاس سے ہوا جس کی صدارت پرو وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف نے کی۔ سیشن میں کوالٹی ایشورنس اور زرعی تعلیم میں مسلسل بہتری کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی گئی۔ اس دورے کا مقصد نیشنل ایگریکلچر ایجوکیشن ایکریڈیٹیشن کونسل کے تیار کردہ معیار کے معیارات پر عمل درآمد کی تصدیق کرنا تھا اور اس بات کو یقینی بنانا تھا کہ ان معیارات پر صحیح معنوں میں عمل کیا جارہا ہے۔ افتتاحی کارروائی کے بعد، سبجیکٹ ایویلیویٹر، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سفینہ ناز، شعبہ ہارٹیکلچر، بہاؤالدین زکریا یونیورسٹی ملتان نے شعبہ ہارٹیکلچرل کا دورہ کیا۔ شعبہ کے فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلباء نے ان کا پرتپاک استقبال کیا۔ دورہ کے دوران، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد نفیس، چیئرمین، شعبہ ہارٹیکلچرل سائنسز نے تشخیص کار کو تعلیمی پروگراموں، تدریسی عمل، تحقیقی سرگرمیوں، فیکلٹی پروفائل، اور شعبہ کی کامیابیوں کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا۔ تشخیص کار نے بنیادی ڈھانچے، جاری تحقیق، اور طلباء کے لیے دستیاب عملی تربیت کے مواقع کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے تحقیقی لیبارٹریز، تجرباتی علاقے اور دیگر سہولیات کا بھی دورہ کیا۔ یہ دورہ ایک انٹرایکٹو بحث کے ساتھ اختتام پذیر ہوا، جو کہ تعلیمی فضیلت، تحقیقی معیار، اور قومی منظوری کے معیارات کے ساتھ صف بندی کے لیے شعبے کے عزم کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔ یہ دورہ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کے ساتھ ایک ملاقات کے ساتھ اختتام پذیر ہوا۔ وائس چانسلر نے نیشنل ایگریکلچر ایجوکیشن ایکریڈیٹیشن کونسل کے وفد کا یونیورسٹی آمد پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔
