A grand welcome ceremony for newly admitted students was organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs at the Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, and Director of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha accompanied by Deans, Principals, and university officials welcomed the new students to the institution. During the ceremony, the students took an oath to demonstrate dedication to their studies, loyalty to the educational institution, patriotism, adherence to high academic values, and commitment to discipline. Furthermore, a unique-of-its-kind chatbot for students in public sector universities, titled "IUB Connect," was digitally launched. Through this digital platform, thousands of university students will be able to contact relevant departments and find immediate solutions to their concerns. In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran stated that The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the largest and most historic university in South Punjab, serving as a custodian of glorious academic and cultural traditions. Alongside higher education, the university is taking practical steps to equip students with proficiency in artificial intelligence and international languages, ensuring they are prepared for both domestic and global markets. In this regard, a training and examination center for the IELTS test has been established in collaboration with the British Council, and two batches have already successfully completed the program. The Vice-Chancellor stated that by mastering artificial and international languages, students will be better positioned to compete globally for higher education and employment opportunities abroad. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti urged the incoming students to maintain discipline, ensure regular attendance, and actively participate in both academic and co-curricular activities. She noted that student societies exist to foster character development and self-confidence, preparing students to play an active role in their future professional lives. Reflecting on her own journey at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur she shared how she progressed from a student to a professor, and eventually to the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor, through hard work and dedication. On this occasion, the Director of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, briefed the students on the available academic, sports, and student society facilities, as well as transport, medical, and hostel services. He highlighted that The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is unique in providing transportation for students with special needs, covering the journey from their doorsteps to the classroom. During the event, members of the Performing Arts Society energized the audience by presenting patriotic songs. Students attending the ceremony described their admission to the university and the opportunities for higher education as a significant achievement; they remarked that the university feels like a home, where the faculties much like parents are dedicated to both their education and character building.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں نئے آنے والے طلبہ و طالبات کے لیے ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹ افیئرز کی جانب سے بغداد الجدید کیمپس میں گرینڈ استقبالیہ تقریب منعقد کی گئی۔اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران پرووائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹ افیئرزپروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا نے ڈینز پرنسپل افسران کے ہمراہ نئے داخل ہونے والے طلباء وطالبات کو جامعہ میں خوش آمدید کہا۔تقریب میں طلباو و طالبات سے علمی لگن تعلیمی ادارے سے وفاداری حب الوطنی اور اعلی تعلیمی اقدار اور نظم و ضبط کی پاسداری کا حلف لیا گیا۔اس موقع پر پبلک سیکٹر جامعات میں طلبہ و طالبات کے لیے اپنی نوعیت کے منفرد چیٹ باٹ آئی یو بی کنکٹ کی بھی ڈیجیٹل لانچنگ کی گئی۔اس ڈیجیٹل پلیٹ فارم سے یونیورسٹی کے ہزاروں طلبہ و طالبات متعلقہ شعبہ جات سے رابطہ کر کے اپنے مسائل کا فوری حل پا سکیں گے۔وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے اپنی خطاب میں کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور جنوبی پنجاب کی سب سے بڑی اور تاریخی جامعہ ہے جو شاندار علمی اور تہذیبی روایات کی امین ہے۔یونیورسٹی میں طلباو و طالبات کو اعلی تعلیم کے ساتھ ساتھ ملکی اور بین الاقوامی مارکیٹ میں مصنوعی ذہانت اور بین الاقوامی زبانوں پر عبور کے لیے عملی اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں۔اس سلسلے میں برٹش کونسل کی جانب سے آئیلٹس امتحان کے لیے تربیتی اور امتحانی مرکز قائم کیے جا چکا ہے اور دو بیچ کامیابی سے فارغ التحصیل ہو چکے ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ ہمارے طلبہ مصنوعی اور بین الاقوامی زبانوں پر عبور کی بدولت بیرون ملک اعلی تعلیم اور ملازمتوں کے لیے عالمی مسابقتی ماحول میں بہتر انداز سے اپنی جگہ بنا سکیں گے۔ پرووائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی نے کہا کہ نئے آنے والے طلباءوطالبات نظم و ضبط باقاعدہ حاضری اور تدریسی و ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں میں بھرپور حصہ لیں۔طلباء و طالبات کی کردار سازی اور ان میں اعتماد پیدا کرنے کے لیے سٹوڈنٹ سوسائٹیز موجود ہیں جو ان کومستقبل کے عملی میدان میں فعال کردار ادا کرنے کے لیے تیار کرتی ہیں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ جامعہ اسلامیہ بہاولپور مادر علمی ہے اور انہوں نے اپنی اس عظیم جامعہ میں طالب علم سے پروفیسر تک کا سفر محنت اور لگن سے طے کیا اور پرو وائس چانسلر کے مرتبے پر فائز ہوئیں۔اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹر سٹوڈنٹ افیئرز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا نے طلباو و طالبات کو تدریسی و تعلیمی سہولیات کھیلوں کی سہولیات طلباو طالبات سوسائٹیز ٹرانسپورٹ میڈیکل ہاسٹلز اور دیگر سہولتوں سے آگاہ کیا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور واحد یونیورسٹی ہے جو سپیشل طلبہ طالبات کو گھر کی دہلیز سے کلاس روم تک سفری سہولت مہیا کرتی ہے۔اس موقع پر پرفارمنگ آرٹس سوسائٹی کے طلباو و طالبات نے ملی نغمے پیش کر کے طلبہ طالبات میں جوش ولولہ پیدا کیا۔تقریب میں شریک طلباو و طالبات نے جامعہ میں داخلے اور اعلی تعلیم کے مواقعوں کو ایک بڑی کامیابی قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ یونیورسٹی ایک گھر کی مانند ہے اور اساتذہ کرام والدین کی طرح تعلیم اور کردار سازی پر توجہ دے رہے ہیں۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
