A one-day seminar titled Ramadan and Uswa Hasana was organized by the Seerat Chair Islamia University of Bahawalpur at Syed Salman Nadvi Auditorium, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies. Professor Dr. Hafiz Abdul Rahim, former dean, Faculty of Islamic Studies and Languages, Dr. Abdul Majeed, Head of Departments of Gomal University and Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, faculty members, and a large number of students participated. Dr. Ghulam Haider Magharana said that the blessed month of Ramadan trains us in religious and worldly activities and teaches us punctuality. In fact, it is due to punctuality that nations have risen. Dr. Abdul Majeed, who came from Gomal University, said that the blessed month has special importance in two respects, one is the revelation of the Quran, and the other is the obligation of fast Dr. Sajila Kausar, Head of the Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony, spoke on the topic of fasting and women's responsibilities and emphasized that women should organize their time in such a way that they can perform their prayers and other acts of worship properly, along with preparing for Suhoor and Iftar. Dr. Saeed Sheikh, Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and Sharia, translated the sermon of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) regarding Ramadan and said that in the blessed hadiths, the first ten days of Ramadan have been declared as mercy, the second as forgiveness, and the third as salvation from the fire of hell. Professor Dr. Zia-ur-Rehman, Head of the Department of Quranic Studies, spoke on the topic of Ramadan and the Quran and said that there is a deep connection between Ramadan and the Quran. The Holy Quran states that Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed, which is a complete guide for people.  Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim told the audience that it was the custom of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to start praying from Rajab itself, saying, “O Allah, bless us in Rajab and Sha’ban and bring us Ramadan.” It is as if he (peace be upon him) would start welcoming Ramadan from Rajab. Allah Almighty says “Every deed is for the son of Adam, and fasting is for Me, and I will reward it.” May Allah Almighty grant us great acts of worship like I’tikaf and Sadaqat al-Fitr in this blessed month. The President of the Council, Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, said that we have to strengthen our relationship with Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him), and this will be possible when we understand the Quran and establish a relationship with it. Quran short courses are conducted for students in all faculties and campuses under the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies.  A month-long Quran tour is being organized under the Department of Translation Studies, the teaching duties of which are being carried out by Dr. Shafqat-ur-Rehman, Lecturer of this department. Professor Dr. Hafiz Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Director Seerat Chair, said that always have good conversations, observe fasting regularly, and make Ramadan a blessing for yourself and others.

سیرت چیئرت اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام سید سلمان ندوی آڈیٹوریم فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز میں رمضان المبارک اور اسوہ حسنہ کے عنوان سے ایک روزہ سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ عبدالرحیم صاحب سابق ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اسٹڈیز اینڈ لینگویجز، ڈاکٹر عبدالمجید صاحب گومل یونیورسٹی اور فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز  دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاول پور کے صدور ہائے شعبہ جات فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلباء و طالبات کی کثیر تعداد نے شرکت کی۔ ڈاکٹر غلام حیدر مگھرانہ نے کہا کہ رمضان المبارک کا بابرکت مہینہ دینی اور دنیاوی سرگرمیوں کی تربیت کرتا ہے اور ہمیں وقت کی پابندی سکھاتا ہے دراصل وقت کی پابندی سے ہی قوموں کو عروج ملا۔ گومل یونیورسٹی ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان سے تشریف لائے ڈاکٹر عبدالمجید صاحب نے کہا کہ ماہ مبارک دو لحاظ سے خصوصی اہمیت کا حامل ہے ایک نزول قرآن اور دوسرا روزہ کی فرضیت ہے۔ شعبہ ادیان عالم اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کی صدر ڈاکٹر سجیلہ کوثر صاحبہ نے روزہ اور خواتین کی ذمہ داریاں کے عنوان سے خطاب کیا اور اس بات پر زوردیا کہ خواتین سحر و افطار کی تیاری کے ساتھ ساتھ اپنے اوقات کو اس طرح ترتیب دیں کہ وہ اپنی نمازوں اور دیگر عبادات کو بخوبی سرانجام دے سکیں۔ ڈاکٹر سعید شیخ صاحب صدر شعبہ فقہ اینڈ شریعہ نے آپ ﷺ کے رمضان المبارک کے حوالے سے خطبہ کا ترجمہ کیا اور بتایا کہ احادیث مبارکہ میں رمضان المبارک کا پہلا عشرہ رحمت اور دوسرا مغفرت اور تیسرا جہنم کی آگ سے نجات کا عشرہ قرار دیا گیا ہے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ضیاءالرحمن صاحب صدر شعبہ قرآنک اسٹڈیز نے رمضان اور قرآن کے عنوان پر مخاطب ہوئے اور بتایا کہ رمضان اور قرآن کا گہرا تعلق ہے۔ قرآن حکیم میں ارشاد ہے کہ رمضان المبارک وہ مہینہ ہے جس میں قرآن نازل کیا  گیا جو لوگوں کے لیے سراسر ہدایت ہے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹرعبدالرحیم صاحب سامعین نے کہا کہ نبی مہربانﷺ کا معمول تھا کہ آپﷺ رجب سے ہی یہ دعا مانگنا شروع کردیتے تھے کہ اے اللہ ہمارے لیے رجب اور شعبان میں برکت دے اور رمضان ہم تک پہنچا دے، گویا آپ ﷺ رجب سے استقبال رمضان آغاز فرما دیتے تھے کہ ہر عمل ابن آدم کا ہے۔ اللہ جل شانہ نے اس ماہ مبارک میں ہمارے لیے اعتکاف اور صدقۃ الفطر جیسی عظیم عبادتیں بھی عنایت فرمائیں۔ صدر مجلس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز نے کہا کہ ہمیں اللہ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کے ساتھ تعلق کو مضبوط کرنا ہوگا اور یہ اس وقت ممکن ہوگا جب ہم قرآن کو سمجھیں اور اس کے ساتھ تعلق کو جوڑیں گے۔ فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز کے تحت تمام فیکلٹیز اور کیمپسز میں طلباء و طالبات کے لیے قرآن شارٹ کورسز کرائے جاتے ہیں۔ شعبہ ٹرانسلیشن اسٹڈیز کےتحت ایک ماہ کا دورہ قرآن منعقد کیا جاتا ہے جس کے تدریسی فرائض ڈاکٹر شفقت الرحمن لیکچرر شعبہ ہذا ادا کرتے ہیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ شفیق الرحمن ڈائریکٹر سیرت چئیر نے کہا کہ ہمیشہ گفتگو اچھی کریں، پابندی سے روزے رکھیں اور رمضان المبارک کو اپنے اور دوسروں کے لیے باعث برکت بنائیں۔
