A Roundtable Consultation Discussion on Civic and Community Engagement was convened at the Video Conference Room, Main Auditorium, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in collaboration with the SDGs Collaboration Center, Fatima Jinnah Women Leadership Center, Centre for Peace and Secular Studies (CPSS), and Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), Lahore. The inaugural session featured addresses by Ms. Saeeda Diep, Executive Director, CPSS, who set the context by emphasizing peace, tolerance, and equality; Dr. Asif Munir, Director, PHEC, who underscored the transformative role of civic education; and Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, IUB, who welcomed the participants and reaffirmed the university's commitment to producing socially responsible graduates. The core consultation on the Civic Education Curriculum was skillfully conducted by Prof. Dr. Shahid Imran, Vice Chancellor, Baba Guru Nanak University, Nankana Sahib, who guided participants through two thematic sessions: “The Compass,” which defined Student Learning Outcomes and unanimously agreed on the non‑negotiable themes of Rights, Responsibilities, the Constitution, and Tolerance; and “The Architecture,” a working session where the skeleton draft of the curriculum was reviewed, including module structures and delivery methods, alongside assessment methods balancing projects and exams. The session, moderated by Ms. Alina Tariq Chohan, Lecturer, Department of English Literature, IUB. In her concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti expressed deep gratitude to all partners and participants, and specifically thanked the worthy Vice Chancellor of IUB, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, for his generous facilitation, unwavering support, and for providing the platform to host this important dialogue at the university. She also extended her sincere appreciation to Prof. Dr. Shahid Imran for expertly conducting the consultation session, and to Ms. Saeeda Diep and Dr. Asif Munir for their thought-provoking addresses and continued collaboration. She further stated that the agreed‑upon pillars of Human Rights, the Constitution, and Tolerance would serve as the moral compass of the curriculum, and she affirmed confidence that this collaborative effort would yield a transformative educational framework for universities across Punjab. The event was attended by distinguished academics from The Government Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur, The Women University Multan, Emerson University Multan, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Bahawalpur, The Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture Multan, The Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan, and a large contingent from IUB, including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ejaz Latif, Prof. Dr. Asif Ranjha, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Prof. Dr. Salman Bin Naeem, Prof. Dr. Samar Fahad, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bilal, Prof. Dr. Mussurat Azhar, Dr. Sarfraz Batool, Dr. Deeba Shahwar, Dr. Uzma Niaz, Dr. Farooq Ahmad, Dr. Atif Nawaz, Dr. Malik Adnan, Dr. Shakil Akhtar, Dr. Shahbaz Ali Khan, Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain, Mr. Ansar Abbas, Prof. Dr. Irfan Ahmad Baig, Muhammad Ali Tarar, Aisha Kabir, Prof. Dr. Nasir Nadeem, and Rizwan Abbas.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں ایس ڈی جیز کولابریشن سینٹر فاطمہ جناح ویمن ڈویلپمنٹ سینٹر فار پیس سی پی ایس ایس اور پنجاب ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن لاہور کے اشتراک سے سوک کمیونٹی انگیجمنٹ کے بارے میں ایک گول میز مشاورتی اجلاس منعقد کیا گیا۔ افتتاحی سیشن میں سی پی ایس ایس کی ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر سعیدہ دیپ نے امن رواداری اور مساوات پر زور دیتے ہوئے سیاق و سباق کا تعین کیا۔ ڈاکٹر آصف منیر ڈائریکٹر پنجاب ہائیر ایجوکیشن کمیشن نے شہری تعلیم کے تبدیلی کے کردار پر زور دیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے سماجی طور پر ذمہ دار گریجویٹس تیار کرنے کے لیے یونیورسٹی کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ سوک تعلیمی نصاب پر بنیادی مشاورت پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شاہد عمران وائس چانسلر بابا گرو نانک یونیورسٹی ننکانہ صاحب نے کی اور دو موضوعاتی سیشنز کے ذریعے شرکاء کی رہنمائی کی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی نے کہا کہ انسانی حقوق آئین اور رواداری کے متفقہ ستون نصاب کے اخلاقی کمپاس کے طور پر کام کریں گے اور اس اعتماد کا اعادہ کیا کہ اس مشترکہ کوشش سے پنجاب بھر کی یونیورسٹیوں کے لیے ایک تبدیلی کا تعلیمی ڈھانچہ سامنے آئے گا۔ انہوں نے سیشن کے انعقاد میں میزبان وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کی سرپرستی اورتعاون کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شاہد عمران کو مشاورتی اجلاس کے ماہرانہ انعقاد اور سعیدہ دیپ و ڈاکٹر آصف منیر کے فکر انگیز خطاب کی تعریف کی۔ تقریب میں گورنمنٹ صادق کالج وویمن یونیورسٹی بہاولپور دی ویمن یونیورسٹی ملتان ایمرسن یونیورسٹی ملتان چولستان یونیورسٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز بہاولپور محمد نواز شریف یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر ملتان غازی یونیورسٹی ڈیرہ غازی خان، اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اعجاز لطیف پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد سلیم پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلمان بن نعیم پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ثمر فہد پروفیسر ڈاکٹر احمد بلال پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مسرت اظہر ڈاکٹر سرفراز بتول ڈاکٹر دیبا شہوار ڈاکٹر عظمیٰ نیاز ڈاکٹر فاروق احمد ڈاکٹر عاطف نواز ڈاکٹر ملک نواز ڈاکٹر عاطف اظہر، ڈاکٹر عتیق احمد ڈاکٹر عبدالرشید اور دیگر نے بھی شرکت کی۔ ڈاکٹر شہباز علی خان عنصر عباس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عرفان احمد بیگ محمد علی تارڑ عائشہ کبیر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ناصر ندیم ڈاکٹر جام سجاد حسین اور رضوان عباس و دیگر نے مباحثے میں حصہ لیا۔
