A seminar was organized by the Seerat Chair, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission on the occasion of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The seminar was held on the topic of Preservation, Construction and Character of the new generation in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and was chaired by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran. On this occasion, Dr. Mufti Muhammad Zubair Ashraf Usmani, Vice President, Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi, delivered a comprehensive talk on the topic. Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Director Seerat Chair Prof. Dr. Hafiz Shafiq-ur-Rehman thanked the Vice Chancellor and the distinguished guest for organizing and guiding the seminar. Meanwhile, Fariha Rashid, an MPhil student of the Department of Hadith, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, participated in the national level competition on Seerat essays titled Preservation, Construction and Character of the New Generation, in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Pakistan and won first position at the national level. The student won this prestigious honor by demonstrating her academic ability, research capacity and commitment to the noble character. She was awarded the award and prize by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, at a ceremony held at the Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, 2026. The Head of the Department of Hadith, Dr. Ghulam Haider Maghrana, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, and Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, expressed great joy over this wonderful achievement of the student. They termed this achievement a great academic and national honor for the Department of Hadith and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and congratulated the student and the teachers.

سیرت چیئرفیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربیک اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کے اشتراک سے ربیع الاول کی مناسبت سےسیمینار کا انعقاد ہوا۔ نسل نو کا تحفظ تعمیر اور کردار سیرت النبی ﷺ کی روشنی میں کے موضوع سے منعقدہ سیمینار کی صدارت وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کی۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر مفتی محمد زبیر اشرف عثمانی نائب صدر جامعہ دارالعلوم کراچی نے موضوع کے اعتبار سے سیر حاصل گفتگو کی۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربیک اسٹدیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن ، ڈائریکٹر سیرت چیئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ شفیق الرحمن نے سیمینار کے انعقاد اور رہنمائی پر وائس چانسلر اور معزز مہمان کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ دریں اثناءشعبہ حدیث اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی ایم فل کی طالبہ فریحہ رشید نے وزارتِ مذہبی امور و بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی پاکستان کے زیرِ اہتمام منعقدہ قومی سطح کے مقابلہ مضامین سیرت بعنوان نسل نو کا تحفظ، تعمیر اور کردار، سیرت النبی ﷺ کی روشنی میں میں شرکت کرتے ہوئے ملکی سطح پر پہلی پوزیشن حاصل کی۔ طالبہ نے اپنی علمی قابلیت، تحقیقی صلاحیت اور سیرتِ طیبہ سے وابستگی کا شاندار مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے یہ نمایاں اعزاز اپنے نام کیا۔ 12 ربیع الاول 2026ء کو جناح کنونشن سنٹر اسلام آباد میں منعقدہ تقریب میں انہیں وزیراعظم پاکستان میاں محمد شہباز شریف کے دستِ مبارک سے ایوارڈ اور انعام سے نوازا گیا۔طالبہ کی اس شاندار کامیابی پر صدر شعبہ حدیث ڈاکٹر غلام حیدر مگھرانہ ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن اور وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے انتہائی مسرت کا اظہار کیا۔ انہوں نے اس کامیابی کو شعبہ حدیث اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے لیے ایک بڑا علمی و قومی اعزاز قرار دیتے ہوئے طالبہ، اساتذہ کو مبارکباد دی۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
