The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan Campus, organized an academic seminar on Elimination of Cervical Cancer through HPV Vaccination and Strengthening Routine Immunization, in collaboration with Extended Program on Immunization Punjab and UNICEF. The event was organized by the Deputy Director Student Affairs. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Director Extended Program on Immunization Punjab, highlighted the Punjab Government’s initiatives regarding free HPV vaccination and emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare. Prof. Dr. Ghulam Hassan Abbasi, Director Campus, urged students, faculty members, and Heads of Departments to play an active role in raising public awareness, stressing that educated members of society have a collective responsibility to promote health awareness and protect future generations. The seminar was attended enthusiastically by faculty members, Heads of Departments, and students. The event concluded successfully, with refreshments provided to participating students. The seminar reinforced the importance of vaccination, public awareness, and collective responsibility in preventing cervical cancer.
