A special ceremony was organized by the College of Nursing, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to mark International Nursing Day. The ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad, MS DHQ Hospital Lodhran, Dr. Muhammad Aurangzaib, Principal, Nursing College, Dr. Farhan Mukhtar, faculty members and students. The chief guest, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, said that today is a day to thank the selfless people associated with the nursing profession. Who are providing public health facilities all over the world. The health sector is very costly in terms of finances. More than 3 million people in Pakistan are facing health care problems. The number of nurses in Pakistan is 100,000, which despite this small number, has proven to be the backbone of nursing health care in our hospitals. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, their services are unparalleled. In the recent tense situation, nurses took care of the injured day and night in hospitals across Pakistan, including Bahawalpur. It has been learnt that many nurses in Bahawalpur hospitals are students of the University Nursing College the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Recently, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif said that a large part of the remittances of Pakistanis abroad are from nurses serving in other countries. Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif is also working for the development of the nursing sector. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the leadership of Principal Dr. Farhan Mukhtar to conduct of classes for programs like BS Nursing, Post RN and MS Nursing at the University College of Nursing.

بہاولپور (پ ر) کالج آف نرسنگ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام نرسنگ کے عالمی دن کی مناسبت سے خصوصی تقریب منعقد ہوئی۔ تقریب میں وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران، ڈین فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد، ایم ایس ڈی ایچ کیو ہسپتال لودھراں ڈاکٹرمحمد اونگزیب، پرنسپل نرسنگ کالج ڈاکٹر فرحان مختار، فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلبا و طالبات شریک ہوئے۔ مہمان خصوصی وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا کہ آج کا دن نرسنگ کے بے لوث شعبہ سے وابستہ افراد کا شکریہ ادا کرنے کا دن ہے۔ جو دنیا بھر میں صحت عامہ کی سہولیات باہم پہنچا رہے ہیں۔ صحت کا شعبہ مالیاتی لحاظ سے بہت اخراجات کا حامل ہوتا ہے۔ پاکستان میں 3 ملین سے زائد افراد صحت کی دیکھ بھال کی مشکلات کا شکار ہیں۔ پاکستان میں نرسوں کی تعداد 1 لاکھ ہے جو اس قلیل تعداد کے باوجود ہمارے ہسپتالوں میں نرسنگ صحت میں دیکھ بھال میں ریڑھ کی ہڈی ثابت ہوا ہے۔ خاص طور پر کرونا وباء کے دوران ان کی خدمات بے مثال ہیں۔ حالیہ کشیدہ صورتحال میں نرسوں نے بہاولپور سمیت پاکستان بھر کے ہسپتالوں میں دن رات زخمیوں کی دیکھ بھال کی۔ معلوم ہوا ہے کہ بہاولپور ہسپتالوں میں بہت سی نرسیں یونیورسٹی نرسنگ کالج کی طالب علم ہیں۔ حالیہ دنوں میں وزیراعظم پاکستان شہباز شریف نے کہا کہ بیرون ملک پاکستانیوں کی ترسیلات زر میں بڑا حصہ دیگر ممالک میں خدمات سرانجام دینے والی نرسوں کا ہے۔ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف بھی نرسنگ کے شعبہ کی ترقی کے لیے کام کررہی ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے پرنسپل ڈاکٹر فرحان مختار کی قیادت میں یونیورسٹی کالج آف نرسنگ میں بی ایس نرسنگ، پوسٹ آراین اور ایم ایس نرسنگ جیسے پروگراموں کی کلاسوں کے انعقاد کو سراہا۔
