Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that Islamia University has taken another giant leap in the field of literature by publishing literary cum research based book “22 LOG” authored by renowned broadcaster and Alumni of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Sajjad Parvez. He was talking with author of the book “22 LOG” Sajjad Parvez, who called on and presented him first copy of his book, Sajjad Parvez also thanked him for patronizing and supervising the mega project of publishing the book under the banner of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.  Station Director, Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur, Muhammad Tasleem Langah, Renowned Poet Dr. Nawaz Kawish, Director Media, Press and Publications Islamia University, Shehzad Ahmed Khalid, Registrar Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jamil, Treasurer, Prof Dr Abou Bakar, Head of Sociology Department, Prof. Dr. Asif Ranjha, Prof. Farjad Faiz, Prof. Dr. Azhar Hussain, Senior Journalist Khalid Khalil Sayed, Officer Bahawalpur Museum, Fawad Ahmed and other senior officials of Islamia University were also present on the occasion. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that university is fully aware about performing its role as corporate social responsibility and contributed a lot by holding literary and cultural festival for the first time in the history of South Punjab. He said universities are considered as beacon of hope for civil society and they are instrumental for character building of youth which are the future of the country. He further stated that apart from imparting quality education to the students in the diverse fields of knowledge, Islamia University has become first university in the region which set a mile stone for other educational institution by publishing such a wonderful and marvelous book in the field of literature and research.  Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ather Mahboob announced that university will organize the book launching ceremony of “ 22 LOG’’ as soon as Covid situation becomes normal.  Deputy Controller News, Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur Sajjad Parvez apprised the Vice Chancellor that his book Book “22 LOG’’ is based upon the  twenty two profile interviews of countries renowned personalities belongs to different walks of life. It is pertinent to mention here that the book “22 LOG”” contains interviews of  Intizar Husain, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, A. Hameed, Zia Mohyeddin, Pathaney Khan, Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Mussarat Kalanchvi, Dr. Asif Farrukhi, Wajahat Masood, Raza Ali Abidi, Asif Noorani, Zahida Hina, Fehmida Riaz, Zahra Nigah, Anwar Maqsood, Shakeel Adilzada, Saleema Hashmi , Maxim (Cartoonist), Aqeel Abbas Jafferi and Asif Noorani, Amin Gulgee and Abdullah Hussain along with their rare  pictures for ready reference for the students as well as for literary buffs.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور خطے کی عظیم علمی اور ادبی روایات کی امین ہے۔ سو برس تاریخ کی حامل یہ عظیم اور تاریخی جامعہ ادیبوں اور شاعروں کوہمیشہ ان کے فن کے اظہار کے لیے مواقع فراہم کرتی رہی ہے۔بہاولپورادبی اور ثقافتی میلہ(بہاولپور لیٹریری اینڈ کلچرل فیسٹیول) بھی اسی سلسلے کی ایک کٹری ہے جس میں نہ صرف خطہ بہاولپور اور جنوبی پنجاب بلکہ ملک کے طول و عرض سے ادیبوں، شاعروں اور دیگر نامور شخصیات کو مدعو کیا جاتا ہے اوران کی پذیرائی کی جاتی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار ڈپٹی کنٹرولر نیوز ریڈیو پاکستان اور ایلومینائی سجاد پرویز سے گزشتہ دنوں اپنے دفتر میں ایک ملاقات کے دوران گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کیا۔اس موقع پر سجاد پرویز نے وائس چانسلر کو اپنی تصنیف 22لوگ پیش کی۔سجاد پرویز کی یہ کتاب 22نامورشخصیات کے انٹرویوز پر مبنی ہے اور اسے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے تعاون سے شائع کیا گیا ہے۔ان شخصیات میں انتظار حسین،نصرت فتح علی خان، اے حمید، ضیاء محی الدین،پٹھانے خان،پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہرمحبوب،مسرت کلانچوی، ڈاکٹر آصف فرخی،وجاہت مسعود، رضا علی عابدی، آصف نورانی، زاہدہ حنا، فہمیدہ ریاض، زہرہ نگاہ،انور مقصور، شکیل عادل زادہ، سلیمہ ہاشمی، میکسم، عقیل عباس جعفری، امین گل جی اور عبداللہ حسین شامل ہیں۔وائس چانسلر نے سجاد پرویز کی ادبی کاوش کوسراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ وہ بطور براڈ کاسٹر ممتاز مقام رکھتے ہیں اور کتاب کی اشاعت ان کی ادبی صلاحیتوں کا بہترین ثبوت ہے۔ اس موقع پر محمد تسلیم لنگاہ، سٹیشن ڈائریکٹر، ریڈیو پاکستان، رجسٹرار پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد معظم جمیل، خزانہ دارپروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد ابوبکراور فیکلٹی ممبران و افسران بھی موجود تھے۔
