An important dialogue was held at IUB on the topic of “Nation Building and Peace in Balochistan”.

An important academic and intellectual dialogue was held on the topic of “Nation Building and Peace in Balochistan” at the Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall of Abbasia Campus in collaboration with the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Divisional Administration, in which a detailed discussion was held on the social, educational and political challenges of Balochistan, national unity and the role of youth. A large number of Baloch students participated in the event and asked questions related to the topics. Addressing the event, Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Musarrat Jabeen said that the youth of Balochistan are the bright future and valuable asset of Pakistan. Education is the only sustainable solution to the problems of Balochistan and sustainable peace is not possible without the participation of the youth. He stressed that knowledge should be used for the construction and development of Balochistan instead of personal interests and the youth should dedicate their talents for the prosperity of the province. Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran said that coming to Punjab from Balochistan to pursue education is a shining example of sacrifice and determination of students. He said that IT experts, engineers and civil servants can bring positive change in Balochistan while the role of universities is not limited to education alone but is also key in promoting national harmony, peace and social stability. Dean of Faculty of Arts and Languages, Prof. Dr. Aamir Sohail, while speaking on “The Future of Baloch Youth in National Development”, stressed the need for modern education and research opportunities. Director of School of State Sciences, Dr. Sarfaraz Batool, spoke on the topic of “Baloch Leadership Past, Present and Future” in a historical context. The session on “Building a Career in Civil Services, Media and Technology” was moderated by Dr. Shahbaz Ali Khan, in which Superintendent of Police Multan Cantonment Ms. Kainat Azhar, Director Admin PHA Multan Muhammad Asad Ali Budh, Chairman Department of Social Work Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha and Baloch PhD Scholar Tariq Aziz participated. The speakers informed the youth about the opportunities available and the challenges they face. The second session was a discussion on media literacy and combating misleading information, which was moderated by Dr. Muhammad Ramzan Tahir. The panel included Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Deputy Director Social Media Chief Minister Secretariat Balochistan Ms. Syeda Mehwish Rizvi, senior journalist Riaz Baloch and Dr. Salman Bin Naeem Library Science. The speakers emphasized the harms of fake news and the need to raise critical awareness among the youth. In the concluding session of the event, the speakers said that such dialogues will prove effective in promoting peace, national unity and the positive role of the youth in Balochistan. According to the Islamia University administration, the aim of the dialogue is to Peace, harmony and national unity should be strengthened. Pro Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur Dr. Abdul Rauf was also present at the ceremony. As a goodwill gesture, bouquets of flowers were presented to Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Musarrat Jabeen and Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran by the friends of Baloch students. At the end of the ceremony, Baloch students and Seraiki students presented Balochi dance and Seraiki Jhumar, representing their respective regional cultures.

بہاولپور : 21/ جنوری (   ) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور ڈویژنل انتظامیہ کے اشتراک سے عباسیہ کیمپس کے غلام محمد گھوٹوی ہال میں ”بلوچستان میں قوم کی تعمیر اور امن“ کے موضوع پر ایک اہم علمی و فکری مکالمہ منعقد ہوا، جس میں بلوچستان کے سماجی، تعلیمی اور سیاسی چیلنجز، قومی یکجہتی اور نوجوانوں کے کردار پر تفصیلی گفتگو کی گئی۔ تقریب میں بلوچ طلبہ کی کثیر تعداد شریک تھی جنھوں نے موضوعات کی مناسبت سے سوال کئے۔ تقریب سے کمشنر بہاولپور ڈویژن مسرت جبیں نے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بلوچستان کے نوجوان پاکستان کا روشن مستقبل اور قیمتی اثاثہ ہیں۔ تعلیم ہی بلوچستان کے مسائل کا پائیدار حل ہے اور نوجوانوں کی شمولیت کے بغیر پائیدار امن ممکن نہیں۔ انہوں نے زور دیا کہ علم کو ذاتی مفاد کے بجائے بلوچستان کی تعمیر وترقی کے لیے استعمال کیا جائے اور نوجوان اپنی صلاحیتیں صوبے کی خوشحالی کے لیے وقف کریں۔ وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا کہ تعلیم کے حصول کے لیے بلوچستان سے پنجاب آنا طلبہ کی قربانی اور عزم کی روشن مثال ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ آئی ٹی ماہرین، انجینئرز اور سول سرونٹس بلوچستان میں مثبت تبدیلی لا سکتے ہیں جبکہ جامعات کا کردار محض تعلیم تک محدود نہیں بلکہ قومی ہم آہنگی، امن اور سماجی استحکام کے فروغ میں بھی کلیدی ہے۔ فیکلٹی آف آرٹس اینڈ لینگویجز کے ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عامر سہیل نے“قومی ترقی میں بلوچستان کے نوجوانوں کا مستقبل”پر اظہار خیال کرتے ہوئے جدید تعلیم اور تحقیق کے مواقع کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ اسکول آف اسٹیٹ سائنسز کی ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر سرفراز بتول نے“بلوچ قیادت ماضی، حال اور مستقبل”کے موضوع پر تاریخی تناظر میں گفتگو کی۔ سول سروسز، میڈیا اور ٹیکنالوجی میں کیریئر کی تعمیر”کے سیشن کی نظامت ڈاکٹر شہباز علی خان نے کی، جس میں سپرٹینڈنٹ آف پولیس ملتان کینٹونمنٹ مس کائنات اظہر، ڈائریکٹر ایڈمن پی ایچ اے ملتان محمد اسد علی بدھ، چیئرمین شعبہ سوشل ورک پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا اور بلوچ پی ایچ ڈی اسکالر طارق عزیز نے شرکت کی۔ مقررین نے نوجوانوں کو دستیاب مواقع اور درپیش چیلنجز سے آگاہ کیا۔ دوسرے سیشن میں میڈیا لٹریسی اور گمراہ کن معلومات کے تدارک پر بحث ہوئی، جس کی نظامت ڈاکٹر محمد رمضان طاہر نے کی۔ پینل میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر سوشل میڈیا وزیراعلیٰ سیکرٹریٹ بلوچستان مس سیدہ مہوش رضوی، سینئر صحافی ریاض بلوچ اور ڈاکٹر سلمان بن نعیم لائبریری سائنس شامل تھے۔ مقررین نے فیک نیوز کے نقصانات اور نوجوانوں میں تنقیدی شعور اجاگر کرنے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ تقریب کے اختتامی سیشن میں مقررین نے کہا کہ اس نوعیت کے مکالمے بلوچستان میں امن، قومی یکجہتی اور نوجوانوں کے مثبت کردار کے فروغ میں مؤثر ثابت ہوں گے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ کے مطابق مکالمے کا مقصد تعلیمی اداروں کے ذریعے امن، ہم آہنگی اور قومی اتحاد کو مضبوط بنانا ہے۔ تقریب میں پرو وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤوف بھی موجود تھے۔تقریب میں بلوچ طلباء کی فیلیز کی جانب سے خیر سگالی کے طور پر کمشنر بہاولپور ڈویژن مسرت جبیں اور وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کو پھولوں کے گلدستے پیش کیے گئے۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر بلوچ طلبہ اور سرائیکی طلبہ کی جانب سے اپنی اپنی علاقائی ثقافت کی نمائندگی کرتے ہوئے بلوچی رقص اور سرائیکی جھومر پیش کیا گیا۔
