Awareness seminar on risk and consequences of drug abuse at the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, IUB

Under the direction of Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, a seminar series organized by the committee established to create awareness about the side effects of drugs and discourage the use of drugs is going on in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The head of this committee is Prof. Dr. Fayazuddin Ahmed. In this regard, a seminar was held at Baghdad ul-Jeeded Campus under the auspices of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies. On this occasion, Dr. Faheema Nadeem, Senior Medical Officer, Dr. Maleeha Arif, Principal Medical Officer, gave a detailed discussion on drug use and its adverse effects on mental and physical health. Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rahman Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies in his address thanked the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar for the awareness seminar series regarding drug abuse. He said that as a student, you can educate your society about the use of drugs and their harmful effects. We have to educate people against drugs by following the principles of Islam, because thousands of people die due to drug addiction. We should live according to the principles of Islam. Fatima Mazahir Deputy Registrar Public Affairs also spoke on this occasion while faculty members and students participated in large numbers.

بہاول پور (پ) وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کی ہدایت پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں منشیات کے مضر اثرات سے آگاہی اور استعمال کی حوصلہ شکنی کے لیے قائم کی گئی کمیٹی کے زیر اہتمام سیمینار سیریز جاری ہے۔ اس کمیٹی کے سربراہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فیاض الدین احمد ہیں۔ اس سلسلے میں فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عرابیک اسٹڈیز کے زیر اہتمام بغداد الجدید کیمپس میں سیمینار منعقد ہوا۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر فہیمہ ندیم سینئر میڈیکل آفیسر، ڈاکٹر ملیحہ عارف پرنسپل میڈیکل آفیسر نے منشیات کے استعمال اور اس کے ذہنی اور جسمانی صحت پر مرتب ہونیوالے مضر اثرات پر تفصیلی گفتگو کی۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عرابیک اسٹڈیز نے اپنے خطاب میں منشیات کے استعمال کے حوالے سے آگاہی سیمینار سیریز پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بحیثیت طالب علم آپ اپنی سوسائٹی کو منشیات کے استعمال اور مضر اثرات سے آگاہی دے سکتے ہیں۔ ہمیں اسلام کے اصولوں پر چلتے ہوئے منشیات کے خلاف لوگوں کو آگاہی دینی ہے کیونکہ منشیات سے متاثر ہوکر ہزاروں لوگ موت کے منہ میں چلے جاتے ہیں۔ ہمیں اسلام کے اصولوں کے مطابق زندگی بسر کرنی چاہیے۔ اس موقع پر فاطمہ مظاہر ڈپٹی رجسٹرار پبلک افیئرز نے بھی خطاب کیا جبکہ فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلباء وطالبات بڑی تعداد میں شریک تھے۔
