Charity program under the theme of Back Home, Journey of Hope and Healing at UCAD, IUB

The University College of Art and Design, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, arranged a charity program under the theme Back Home، Journey of Hope and Healing. The program objective was to provide moral and financial support to the flood-affected communities of Pakistan. The program included a one-week Charitable Faculty Art Exhibition, a flood relief drive, fundraising calls, and interactive art activities to collect household essentials and cash for flood-affected people of Pakistan. The faculty members of the University College of Art and Design created artworks to exhibit resilience through art. The students of the University College of Art and Design donated tangible essentials, both new and gently used, such as blankets, ironed clothes, footwear, medicines, sanitary items, utensils, food items, and cash. Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi, Principal, University College of Art and Design, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, supervised the whole program to reaffirm University College of Art and Design’s commitment to art for the communities of Punjab, Pakistan. She motivated faculty members of the University College of Art and Design for a formal Art Exhibition. The event Back to Home: Journey of Hope and Healing was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The Vice Chancellor visited the Charitable Faculty Art Exhibition and interacted with faculty members to communicate on the flood-related problems and the role of the art community in spreading the spirit of rehabilitation. Dr. Qureshi, Principal, University College of Art and Design, expressed her sincere gratitude to the Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran on his leadership and vision for establishing the Islamia University of Bahawalpur as a hub of education and social development. The dignitaries who graced the Charity Program with their generous donations and empathetic talks include Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Sohail, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Languages, Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman, Department of Social Work, Dr. Shiekh Safeena Siddique, Director for Women Health Center and Maternity Home and Senior Medical Officer, Muhammad Zahid from University Printing Press, Muhammad Ali Afzal Jalwana, renowned artist of South Punjab, and Directors/sub-Directors of Arts Council Bahawalpur, Amber Tanseer, the renowned social activist of Bahawalpur, Dr. Maryam and Dr. Musarrat, senior faculty members from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi along with the faculty members of University College of Art and Design, handed over a cheque combined collection of money from the University College of Art and Design’s people, a bulk of clothes, blankets, bed covers, and household essentials to Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, the Chairman, Department of Social Work, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Furthermore, Dr. Farhana Qureshi briefed Dr. Ranjha on the multifaceted activity of fund collection, faculty exhibition, and the display of charitable art practices. She explicitly thanked the administration of the Bahawalpur DHA for their generous donation of 50 thousand rupees for the Flood Awareness Campaign by the University College of Art and Design. At the closing ceremony of the Flood Awareness Campaign, Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi appreciated the students of University College of Art and Design for their dedicated efforts in the flood campaign and guided them on the welfare activities by the folks of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur during the tough time of flood 2025.

بہاولپور (پ ر) یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور نے گھر واپسی، امید اور شفا کا سفرکے تھیم کے تحت ایک چیریٹی پروگرام کا اہتمام کیا۔ اس پروگرام کا مقصد پاکستان کی سیلاب سے متاثرہ کمیونٹیز کی اخلاقی اور مالی مدد کرنا تھا۔ اس پروگرام میں ایک ہفتے کی چیریٹیبل فیکلٹی آرٹ ایگزیبیشن، سیلاب ریلیف مہم، فنڈ ریزنگ کالز اور پاکستان کے سیلاب سے متاثرہ لوگوں کے لیے گھریلو ضروریات اور نقد رقم جمع کرنے کے لیے انٹرایکٹو آرٹ سرگرمیاں شامل تھیں۔ یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کے فیکلٹی ممبران نے فن پارے بنائے۔ یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کے طلباء نے ضروری اشیاء، جیسے کمبل، استری شدہ کپڑے، جوتے، ادویات، سینیٹری کی اشیاء، برتن، کھانے پینے کی اشیاء، اور نقد رقم عطیہ کی۔ ڈاکٹر فرحانہ الطاف قریشی نے پورے پروگرام کی نگرانی کی تاکہ یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کمیونٹیز کے لیے فن سے وابستگی کا اعادہ کیا جا سکے۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران  نے چیریٹیبل فیکلٹی آرٹ ایگزیبیشن، سیلاب ریلیف مہم، فنڈ ریزنگ کا افتتاح کیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے چیریٹیبل فیکلٹی آرٹ ایگزیبیشن کا دورہ کیا اور فیکلٹی ممبران سے سیلاب سے متعلقہ مسائل اور بحالی کے جذبے کو پھیلانے میں آرٹ کمیونٹی کے کردار کے بارے میں بات چیت کی۔ پرنسپل ڈاکٹرفرحانہ الطاف قریشی نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کو تعلیم اور سماجی ترقی کے مرکز کے طور پر قائم کرنے پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کی قیادت اور وژن پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید عامر سہیل، ڈین، فیکلٹی آف آرٹس اینڈ لینگویجز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا، چیئرمین، شعبہ سوشل ورک، ڈاکٹر شیخ سفینہ صدیق، ڈائریکٹر وومن ہیلتھ کیئر سنٹر اور میٹرنٹی ہوم، سینئر میڈیکل آفیسر محمد علی، جنوبی پنجاب کے نامور مصور افضل جلوانہ اور آرٹس کونسل بہاولپور کے ڈائریکٹرز/سب ڈائریکٹرز، عنبر تنصیر، بہاولپور کی معروف سماجی کارکن ڈاکٹر مریم، سینئر فیکلٹی ممبرڈاکٹر مسرت، طلباو طالبات موجود تھے۔ ڈاکٹر فرحانہ الطاف قریشی نے یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کے فیکلٹی ممبران کے ساتھ مل کر یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کے لوگوں کی طرف سے جمع شدہ رقم کا ایک چیک، کپڑوں، کمبلوں، بیڈ کوروں اور گھریلو ضروریات کی ایک بڑی رقم پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا، چیئرمین شعبہ سوشل ورک کے حوالے کی۔ انہوں نے یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کی جانب سے سیلاب سے متعلق آگاہی مہم کے لیے 50 ہزار روپے کے عطیہ پر بہاولپور ڈی ایچ اے کی انتظامیہ کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ فلڈ آگاہی مہم کی اختتامی تقریب میں، ڈاکٹر فرحانہ الطاف قریشی نے یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کی طالبات کی فلڈ مہم میں سرشار کاوشوں کو سراہا اور سیلاب 2025 کے مشکل وقت میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور کے لوگوں کی فلاحی سرگرمیوں کے بارے میں ان کی رہنمائی کی۔
