Day 01: 1st International Harmony Summit and the 2nd International Conference organized by the IUB

The first International Harmony Summit and the second International Conference organized by the Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, have begun at Abbasia Campus. This global event on the role of religion in conflict resolution and the global interfaith landscape includes group discussions, book launches, special walks, calligraphy and poster exhibitions. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, in his message, welcomed the organization of the conference on an important global topic and the arrival of the delegates. The inaugural session was addressed by Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Prof. Dr. Herman Roborgh, Christen Representative/ Head School of Religion & Philisophy, Minhaj University, Lahore, Pakistan, Parshant Singh, Sikh Representative/ Assistant Controller, University of Punjab, Arjun Das, Hindu Representative/ Pandit Anwar Chand, Bahawalpur, Shanaz Mobin, Bahá’í Representative, Bahawalpur, Dr. Bülent Şenay, Muslim Representative/ Professor, Bursa Uludağ University, Turkey, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Muahammad Al-Sharqavi, Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Dr. Bülent Şenay, Associate Professor, Bursa Uludağ University, Turkey , Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdulrazzaq Alaswad, Imam Abdulrehman bin Faisal University, Damam, Suadia Aarabia, Prof. Dr. Tristán Kapp, Research Associate, Department Religion Studies, University of Pretoria, South Africa, Dr. Hidayatullah Ahmad Al Shash, Damam, Saudia Arabia. Focal Person Dr. Sajila Kausar said that papers are being presented on important topics such as dialogue in a multi-religious society, interfaith religion, identity and human dignity, and possibilities in global conflicts. The role of religion and nationalism in mutual conflicts and the challenges and causes faced in resolving them.

شعبہ ادیانِ عالم و بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربیک اسٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام پہلی بین الاقوامی ہارمنی سمٹ اور دوسری بین الاقوامی کانفرنس کا عباسیہ کیمپس میں آغاز ہوگیا۔ تنازعات کے حل میں مذہب کا کردار اور عالمی بین المذاہب منظر نامے سے متعلق اس عالمی ایونٹ میں گروپ مباحثے کتابوں کی رونمائی خصوصی واک کیلی گرافی اور پوسٹرز کی نمائش شامل ہے۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے اپنے پیغام میں اہم عالمی موضوع پر کانفرنس کے انعقاد اور مندوبین کی آمد کو خوش آئند قراردیا۔ افتتاحی سیشن میں  ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربیک اسٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ہرمن روبورگ، کرسٹین نمائندے/ ہیڈ سکول آف ریلیجن اینڈ فلسفہ منہاج یونیورسٹی لاہور، پرشانت سنگھ سکھ نمائندہ/اسسٹنٹ کنٹرولر، پنجاب یونیورسٹی،ارجن داس، ہندو نمائندہ/ پنڈت انور چند بہاولپور، ڈاکٹر بیلنٹ سینائے، مسلم نمائندہ/ پروفیسر، برسا الوداغ یونیورسٹی ترکیہ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر احمد محمد الشرقاوی، الازہر یونیورسٹی قاہرہ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد عبدالرزاق الاسود، امام عبدالرحمن بن فیصل یونیورسٹی، دمام، سعدیہ عربیہ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ٹریسٹن کیپ، ریسرچ ایسوسی ایٹ، ڈیپارٹمنٹ ریلیجن اسٹڈیز، یونیورسٹی آف پریٹوریا، جنوبی افریقہ، ڈاکٹر ہدایت اللہ احمد الشاش، دمام، سعودی عربیہ نے خطاب کیا۔ فوکل پرسن ڈاکٹر سجیلہ کوثر نے کہا کہ کونفرنس کے اہم موضوعات میں کثیر المذہب معاشرہ میں مکالمہ بین المذاہب مذہب، شناخت اور انسانی وقار اور عالمی تنازعات میں امکانات مذہب اور قوم پرستی کا باہمی تنازعات میں کردار اور ان کے حل میں درپیش چیلنجز و اسباب جیسے اہم موضوعات پر مقالہ جات پیش کیے جارہے ہیں۔
