Professor Dr. Saeed Ahmed Buzdar, Dean of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences has said that the British Council project Pak UK Education Gateway Faculty Mobility Program establishes a long-lasting partnership between the Institute of Physics at Islamia University Bahawalpur and the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences and School of Engineering and Materials Sciences at Queen Mary University of London. In this regard, the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has also assured full support. The faculty members of Queen Mary University of London recently visited Islamia University Bahawalpur and participated in the conference and workshops organized by the Institute of Physics. The teams of the two universities met Chairman HEC Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed in Islamabad and apprised about this collaboration promoting quality research in the field of Physics. The Chairman Higher Education Commission appreciated the efforts of both institutions for collaboration in advanced research in the field of Physics. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, Director of the Institute of Physics, Islamia University, Prof. Dr. Alan Drew, Department of Physics, Queen Mary University, Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Tanner, School of Engineering and Material Sciences, Queen Mary University, Dr. Kaniz Rabia, Associate Professor, Institute of Physics, Ayesha Ikram DG HEC, Saima Noreen Project Director HEC, Hamza Saleem Representative British Council.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار ڈین فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھمیٹیکل سائنسز نے کہا ہے کہ برٹش کونسل کے پراجیکٹ پاک۔ یوکے ایجوکیشن گیٹ وے فیکلٹی موبلٹی پروگرام میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے انسٹیٹوٹ آف فزکس اور کوئین میری یونیورسٹی آف لندن کے سکول آف فزیکل اینڈ کیمیکل سائنسز اور سکول آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ میٹیریل سائنسز کے درمیان ایک دیرپا اشتراک کی بنیاد رکھ دی گئی ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن پاکستان نے بھی مکمل تائید اور حمایت کی یقین دہانی کرائی ہے۔ کوئین میری یونیورسٹی آف لندن کے فیکلٹی ممبران نے حال ہی میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا دورہ کیا، انسٹیٹیوٹ آف فزکس کی طرف سے منعقدہ کانفرنس اور ورکشاپس میں شرکت کی۔ اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف فزکس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار کے آفس میں میٹنگ میں باہمی تعاون کے لئے مستقبل کے مختلف منصوبوں پر غور کیا گیا ۔ دونوں یونیورسٹیوں کی ٹیموں نے اسلام آباد میں چئیرمین ایچ ای سی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مختار احمد سے ملاقات کی اور اس اشتراک کی تفصیلات سے آگاہ کیا۔ چئیرمین ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن نے فزکس کے شعبے میں جدید تحقیق میں اشتراک عمل کے لئے دونوں اداروں کی کاوشوں کو سراہا۔ اس ملاقات میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سعید احمد بزدار ڈائریکٹر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف فزکس اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ایلن ڈریو ڈیپارٹمنٹ آٖف فزکس کوئین میری یونیورسٹی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ایلزبتھ ٹینر سکول آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ میٹیریل سائنسز کوئین میری یونیورسٹی، ڈاکٹر کنیز رابعہ ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر انسٹیٹوٹ آف فزکس، عائشہ اکرام ڈی جی ایچ ای سی، صائمہ نورین پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر ایچ ای سی، حمزہ سلیم نمائندہ برٹش کونسل نے شرکت کی۔
