Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Director of the Institute of Biochemistry, Biotechnology & Bioinformatics (IBBB) at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, has been invited to the PRPH2 Retinal Diseases Workshop in September 2026. The invitation has been jointly extended by the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Columbia, MD, USA, and the Nixon Vision Foundation, San Diego, USA. During his tour to the United States, Prof. Iqbal will also visit the Foundation Fighting Blindness in Columbia, MD, the Nixon Vision Foundation in San Diego, and the Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego. He will hold meetings with leading scientists and researchers working on the genetic and molecular basis of inherited retinal disorders to explore future collaborations. The objective of this visit is to strengthen academic and research linkages between international institutions and The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف بائیو کیمسٹری، بائیو ٹیکنالوجی اینڈ بائیو انفارمیٹکس کے ڈائریکٹر، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اقبال کو ستمبر 2026 میں منعقد ہونے والی ریٹینل ڈیزیزز ورکشاپ میں شرکت کی دعوت دی گئی ہے۔ یہ دعوت نامہ فاؤنڈیشن فائٹنگ بلائنڈنس (کولمبیا، میری لینڈ، امریکہ) اور نکسن ویژن فاؤنڈیشن(سان ڈیاگو، امریکہ) کی جانب سے مشترکہ طور پر بھیجا گیا ہے۔ امریکہ کے دورے کے دوران، پروفیسر اقبال فاؤنڈیشن فائٹنگ بلائنڈنس (کولمبیا، میری لینڈ)،نکسن ویژن فاؤنڈیشن (سان ڈیاگو) اور شائلی آئی انسٹی ٹیوٹ (یو سی سان ڈیاگو) کا بھی دورہ کریں گے۔ وہ موروثی ریٹینل (آنکھ کے پردے) کے امراض کی جینیاتی اور مالیکیولی بنیادوں پر کام کرنے والے ممتاز سائنسدانوں اور محققین کے ساتھ ملاقاتیں کریں گے تاکہ مستقبل میں باہمی تعاون کے امکانات کا جائزہ لیا جا سکے۔ اس دورے کا مقصد بین الاقوامی اداروں اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور، پاکستان کے درمیان تعلیمی اور تحقیقی روابط کو مضبوط بنانا ہے۔
