A training workshop on Fahm-e-Quran was held at the Abbasia Campus, organized by the Department of Translation Studies, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The workshop trainer, Dr. Ubaid-ur-Rehman Bashir Head of the Fahm-e-Quran Section at the National Academy of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad instructed faculty members and students on pedagogical methods for effectively conveying the teachings of the Holy Quran in an accessible manner. Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice-Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, stated that the Holy Quran is a source of guidance for us, and proficiency in the Arabic language is essential for comprehending and acting upon its message; he noted that teachers can effectively impart Quranic teachings to students through appropriate instructional strategies. Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, remarked that the faculty has historically strived to disseminate Quranic teachings and holds a position of distinction at both national and global levels. Dr. Qari Aziz-ur-Rehman, In-charge of the Department of Translation Studies, welcomed the distinguished guest and expressed gratitude for the Vice-Chancellor's guidance.

شعبہ ٹرانسلیشن اسٹڈیز فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربیک اسٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام فہم قرآن تربیتی ورکشاپ عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد ہوئی۔ ورکشاپ کے ٹرینر ڈاکٹر عبیدا لرحمن بشیر سربراہ فہم قرآن سیکشن نیشنل اکیڈمی ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن اسلام آباد نے اساتذہ اور طلباوطالبات کو قرآن کریم کی تعلیمات کو قابل فہم انداز میں منتقل کرنے کے تدریسی طریقوں سے آگاہ کیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے کہا کہ قرآن کریم ہمارے لیے سرچشمہ ہدایت ہے اور اس کو سمجھنے اور عمل کرنے کے لیے عربی زبان سے واقفیت ضروری ہے۔ اساتذہ کرام تدریسی حکمت عملی سے قرآنی تعلیمات کو موثر انداز میں طلباو طالبات تک پہنچا سکتے ہیں۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربیک اسٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن نے کہا کہ فیکلٹی ہذا قرآنی تعلیمات کی نشر اشاعت کے لیے تاریخی طور پر کوشاں ہے اور قومی اور عالمی سطح پر ممتاز اہمیت کی حامل ہے ۔ انچارج شعبہ ٹرانسلیشن اسٹڈیز ڈاکٹر قاری عزیز الرحمن نے معزز مہمان کی آمد کو سراہتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر کی رہنمائی پر شکریہ ادا کیا۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
