Honorable Governor Punjab and Chancellor Engr Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman paid a grand visit to IUB Bahawalnagar Campus

Governor Punjab and Chancellor Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman has said that the Islamia University, Bahawalnagar Campus is playing an important role in the context of social, cultural, business and economic development of the region. Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob provided educational opportunities to the youth of the remote area of South Punjab by ensuring the establishment of new campuses of the university and the expansion and development of the existing campuses. They will not only play a key role in the development of the region. The Governor of the Punjab expressed these views today on the occasion of his visit to the Bahawalnagar campus and met the teachers and students. On the occasion Governor of the Punjab inaugurated the extension of academic block constructed at a cost of 137 million rupees, campus guest house, water tank, director campus residence and parking. During his visit, Governor Punjab inaugurated 2 new buses for Bahawalnagar campus also inaugurated. He said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has made extraordinary progress in every field in the last four years and the excellent faculty environment and excellent infrastructure of the campuses located in remote areas are commendable. He said that the construction of two girls' hostels and an academic block have been included in the next year's plans on the direction of the vice-chancellor. He said that as the Federal Minister of Education, he approved a grant of Rs 54 crore for Bahawalnagar Campus of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Rs 86 crore for Bahawalpur Campus and Rs 72 crore for Rahim Yar Khan Campus. Rahim Yar Khan Campus was formally inaugurated in 2017. The Bahawalnagar campus will be further developed and a new university will be established at Bahawalnagar. The Governor of Punjab instructed Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob to select a suitable site for the campus in Manchanabad for Girls Degree College in Manchanabad. He said that new campuses are being established in Hasilpur, Ahmedpur and Liaquatpur. The Vice-Chancellor Engineer Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and his team have given extraordinary development to the University and have established a prominent position across Pakistan. Work on Rain Enhancement Project is welcome. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said that the number of departments in the campus has been increased from 9 to 25, the number of students has increased from 2300 to 8500 and the number of teachers has also been increased. 5 state-of-the-art computer laboratories and HEC smart classrooms have been set up in the campus. In the transport in the campus, 9 buses and 1 coaster are providing travel facilities to the students of Chishtian, Haroonabad, Manchanabad and Bahawalnagar. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor also briefed the Governor Punjab on the ongoing teaching matters in the university. After inaugurating the development works in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Governor Punjab Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman had a detailed discussion with the teachers and students and reviewed the ongoing curricular and co-curricular activities in the campus. Governor Punjab Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman placed the foundation stone of the mosque in the campus. He planted a sapling in the lawn of the campus and appreciated the beauty of the campus. On this occasion, Mian Alam Dad Lalika announced a government grant of 50 lac for the mosque of the Islamia University Bahawalnagar Campus. گورنر پنجاب و چانسلر انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمن نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولنگر کیمپس علاقے کی سماجی، ثقافتی، کاروباری اور اقتصادی ترقی کے تناظر میں اہم کردار ادا کر رہا ہے۔ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے یونیورسٹی کے نئے کیمپسز کے قیام اور موجودہ کیمپسز کی توسیع و ترقی کو یقینی بناکر جنوبی پنجاب کے دور افتادہ علاقے کے نوجوانوں کو تعلیمی مواقع فراہم کیے اب یہ نوجوان نہ صرف اپنی اور اپنے خاندان کی خوشحالی کا باعث بنے گے بلکہ علاقے کی ترقی میں بھی کلیدی کردار ادا کریں گے۔ گورنر پنجاب نے ان خیالات کا اظہار آج بہاولنگر کیمپس کے دورے کے موقع پر اساتذہ، عمائیدین شہر اور طلباء وطالبات سے ملاقات کے موقع پر کیا۔ گورنر پنجاب نے دورے کے موقع پر137ملین روپے کی لاگت سے تعمیر شدہ اکیڈمک بلاک میں توسیع، کیمپس گیسٹ ہاؤس، پانی کے ٹینک، ڈائریکٹر کیمپس کی رہائش گاہ اور پارکنگ کا افتتاح کیا۔ اپنے دورے کے دوران گورنر پنجاب نے بہاولنگر کیمپس کے لیے 2 نئی بسوں کا بھی افتتاح کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پورنے گزشتہ چار برسوں میں ہر شعبے میں غیر معمولی ترقی کی اور دور افتادہ علاقوں میں واقع کیمپسز کا بہترین فیکلٹی ماحول اور بہترین انفراسٹرکچر لائق تحسین ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ دو گرلز ہاسٹل اور اکیڈمک بلاک کی تعمیر کو وائس چانسلر کی ہدایت پر آئندہ سال کے منصوبوں میں شامل کیا گیا ہے۔ انہو ں نے بتایا کہ بطور وفاقی وزیر تعلیم انہوں نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے بہاولنگر کیمپس کے لیے 54 کروڑ روپے، بہاول پور کیمپس کے لیے 86 کروڑ روپے اور رحیم یار خان کیمپس کے لیے 72 کروڑ روپے کی گرانٹ منظور کی گئی۔ 2017 میں رحیم یار خان کیمپس کا باقاعدہ افتتاح کیا گیا۔ بہاولنگر کیمپس کو مزید ترقی دی جائیگی اور بہاولنگر میں نئی یونیورسٹی قائم کی جائے گی۔ گورنر پنجاب نے منچن آباد میں گرلز ڈگری کالج کے لیے وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کو ہدیات دی کہ وہ منچن آبادمیں کیمپس کے لیے موزوں جگہ کا انتخاب کریں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ حاصل پور، احمد پور اور لیاقت پو رمیں نئے کیمپسز قائم ہو رہے ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب اور ان کی ٹیم نے یونیورسٹی کو غیر معمولی ترقی دی اور پاکستان بھر میں نمایاں مقام قائم کیا ہے۔ رین انہاسمنٹ پراجیکٹ پر کام خوش آئند ہے۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب نے کہا کہ کیمپس میں شعبہ جات کی تعداد 9 سے بڑھا کر 25 کردی گئی  ہے، طلباء و طالبات کی تعداد 2300 سے بڑھ کر 8500 ہوگئی ہے اسی طرح اساتذہ کی تعداد میں بھی غیر معمولی اضافہ کیا گیا ہے۔ کیمپس میں 5 جدید ترین کیمپوٹر لیبارٹریوں اور ایچ ای سی سمارٹ کلاس رومز قائم کیے گئے ہیں۔ کیمپس میں موجود ٹرانسپورٹ میں 9 بسیں اور ایک کوسٹر بہاولنگر کے علاوہ چشتیاں، ہارون آباد، منچن آباد کے طلباء وطالبات کو سفری سہولیات باہم پہنچا رہی ہے۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر نے گورنر پنجاب کو یونیورسٹی میں جاری تدریسی امور پر بھی بریفنگ دی۔ گورنر پنجاب انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمن نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں ترقیاتی کاموں کے افتتاح کے بعد اساتذہ اور طلباء وطالبات سے بھی تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا اور کیمپس میں جاری نصابی اور ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں کا جائزہ لیا۔ گورنر پنجاب انجینئرمحمد بلیغ الرحمن نے کیمپس میں مسجد کا سنگ بنیاد رکھا۔ انہوں نے کیمپس کے لان میں پودا لگایا اور کیمپس کی خوبصورتی کو سراہا۔اس موقع پرمیاں عالم داد لالیکا نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولنگر کیمپس کی مسجد کے لیے حکومتی گرانٹ سے 50 لاکھ دینے کا اعلان کیا۔  اس موقع پر رکن قومی اسمبلی میاں عبدالغفار وٹو، ڈائریکٹر کیمپس ڈاکٹر رفاقت علی، خزانہ دار رضوان مجید، کنٹرولر امتحانات پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سجاد احمد پراچہ، پی ڈی آصف شہزاد،  ڈائریکٹر پریس میڈیا اینڈ پبلیکیشنز شہزاد احمد خالد، ڈی ایس اے ڈاکٹر اظہر حسین،  ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا، شاہد درانی، ڈپٹی کمشنر بہاولنگر ذولفقار احمد بھون، ڈسٹرکٹ پولیس آفیسر علی رضا شاہ، چوہدری نور الحسن تنویر، ملک سجاد الوی، راجہ شاہد محمود، میاں فدا حسین وٹو، رانا عبدالراؤف، چوہدری محمد جمیل، ڈاکٹر مظہر اقبال چوہدری، چوہدری محمد ارشد، پیر عدنان اصغر بودلا، مرزا کامران بیگ، شفیق خان، ملک آصف اقبال، عباس وٹو، کاشف محمود، زاہد اکرم، صوفی محمد اکرم، رانا عاطف راؤف، چوہدری امان اللہ باجوہ، سید مظہر علی شاہ، راؤ عمران اختر، چوہدری افضل، عباس بھٹی، ممتاز بھٹی، راؤ جعفر شاہین، چوہدری اسلم، رانا ناصر مجید، راؤ الطاف، راؤ افضال، میاں فیاض حسین لالیکا، عمائیدین شہر اورطلباء وطالبات بھی موجود تھے۔
