In honor of IUB's 100th anniversary and the release of a stamp, Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur held a special talk show.

100 years of Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the release of a stamp | Special talk show organized at Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur. A talk show was organized at the studio of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur in connection with the centenary celebrations of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in which the special commemorative stamp issued by Pakistan Post was made the main topic. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Principal College of Art and Design Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi, Head of Department of Public Administration Dr. Shahbaz Ali Khan, and Director Media and Public Relations Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid participated in the talk show, while the moderator responsibilities of the talk show were performed by Sajjad Ahmed Bari. The commemorative stamp of Rs. 100 issued by Pakistan Post on March 4, 2026 is not only a recognition of the educational services of Islamia University of Bahawalpur spanning a century but is also an important effort to highlight the academic and research heritage at the national level.  The commemorative stamp was printed by the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation, which features a prominent image of the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment and the inscription “1925 to 2025 — 100 Years of Academic Excellence.” The Vice Chancellor said in his remarks that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has rendered outstanding services in the field of knowledge, research, literature and science during the past 100 years and has played a key role in the intellectual and educational development of the region. He appreciated the efforts of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur in terms of broadcasting services and said that this institution has not only been a source of effective dissemination of information and awareness but has also played an important role in the promotion of regional culture, language and social values. He added that both the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur have always played their role jointly for the promotion of knowledge, awareness and positive values and will continue to guide the nation intellectually with the same spirit in the future.  At the end of the talk show, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran presented a commemorative stamp to Sajjad Ahmed Bari, Station Director of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur. Program Manager Muhammad Ashiq Abbasi and the Jamia team were also present on the occasion. The producers of the talk show were Muhammad Kashif Khan, Faiz Hashmi and Engineer Tahir Rasool were responsible for the recording.
