School of State Sciences Faculty of Social Sciences Islamia University Bahawalpur organized the inaugural session of the 5th International Conference on the topic of Governance Identity and Empowerment Pathways to Inclusive Societies. District Police Officer Bahawalpur Muhammad Hassan Iqbal was the chief guest in the inaugural session and Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Nayyar Mustafa specially participated. On this occasion, Abdul Qadir Qamar DIG Police Islamabad, Dr. Khan MR Tawfiq Oxford Group University UK, Professor Dr. Adam Sot Bahria University Islamabad, Professor Dr. Shabana Fayyaz Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad delivered keynote speeches. Conference Patron Chief Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran said in his message that Islamia University Bahawalpur is striving for academic excellence, innovation and educational linkages at the national and international levels.  The organization of the conference on the topic of innovation and empowerment in governance and the participation of domestic and foreign delegates is a reflection of the fact that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is of world standard in social sciences. Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and conference chief organizer Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti said that in today’s globalized world, social scientists are offering the best solutions to address challenges such as governance environment and identity by eliminating disparities between societies and classes. Director School of State Sciences Dr. Sarfaraz Batool said that the School of State Sciences is rendering outstanding services for governance education and research and the delegates who came to this conference will discuss the formation of a governance model compatible with the requirements of the modern era. Focal person of the conference and Chairman Department of Public Administration Dr. Shahbaz Ali Khan said that this conference will promote a meaningful dialogue for academic exchange and research and will be a source of harmony between scholars, experts and administrators.  Chairman of the Department of Political Science and Conference Secretary Dr. Shakeel Akhtar informed about the details of the three-day conference and thanked the delegates, teachers, students and distinguished guests for their participation in the conference. Deputy Focal Person of the Conference Dr. Ansar Abbas provided information about the arrangements for the delegates.
