Inauguration of RO water filtration plant at IUB Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus

Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhtar, Dean of the Faculty of Online and Distance Education, Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Muhammad Shaji ur Rehman, Registrar, Professor Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman of the Department of Social Work, Saleem Ahmad Mansoori, Country Director of Helping Hands for Relief and Development, and other officers inaugurated the water filtration plant. Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhtar, Focal Person, gave a briefing about the project started a year ago. Plant has been fixed near the female study park and girls hostels. As per MOU, Helping Hands for Relief and Development has 100% financed the project whereas Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhter proposed the project keeping in view the need of clean water for girls students and the IUB community.  Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhter briefed about project and background of the MOU with helping hands for relief and development. At the time of formal receiving of water filtration plant, Registrar of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Shaji ur Rehman, Dr. Muhammad Latif Principal Officer Estate care, Engineer Tauseef XEN, Engineering section and Salman Mahmood Qureshi accompanied along faculty members of department of special education, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur as partner evident of the project. Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhter thanked Saleem Ahmed Mansoori Country Director Helping Hands for Relief and Development for his great help and facilitation. She also thanked to all team of Director Helping Hands for Relief and Development   including Sajid Ali Director Operation, Muhammad Jodat Kamran Program Manager Emergency Response and Disaster Management, Muhammad Ayyaz Head of Admin Department, Abid Ali Regional Project Officer South Punjab and Naveed Ahmad. Project Implementation Lead Bahawalpur who was working with the department of special education since signing of MOU entitled Fixing of water filtration plant a year ago. Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhter explained that this project is a series of achievements of the department of special education in collaboration to helping hands for relief and development. Saleem Ahmad Mansoori Country Director Helping Hands for Relief and Development praised the efforts of the focal person of the project Prof. Dr Nasreen Akhter who developed a link with helping hands for relief and Development for participation in multiple MOUs since 2020. He declared his appreciation and hope to continue all projects in the future too saying it's not the end. After inauguration of the plant, Prof. Dr. Nasreen Akhter briefed participants about MOU with HHRD through which students of department of special Education IUB have received financial aids in form of scholarships in the form of fee, paid internships, events management and organization of joint activities for the promotion of department of special education in general and special persons specifically through students youth club through latest MOU 2024. At this occasion, Prof. Dr Ghulam Mustafa Dean Faculty of Mathematics and Prof. Dr Rubina Bhatti Dean Faculty of Social Sciences praised efforts of Efforts of Prof. Dr Nasreen Akhter to take initiative to develop such kind of novel links with INGO"HHRD" for the sake of benefits of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur community.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر ڈین فیکلٹی آف آن لائن اینڈ ڈسٹینس ایجوکیشن، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز، محمد شجیع الرحمن رجسٹرار، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا چیئرمین شعبہ سوشل ورک، سلیم احمد منصوری کنٹری ڈائریکٹر ہیلپنگ ہینڈز فار ریلیف اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ اور دیگر افسران نے واٹر فلٹریشن پلانٹ کا افتتاح کیا گیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر فوکل پرسن نے ایک سال قبل شروع کیے گئے پراجیکٹ کے بارے میں بریفنگ دی۔ گرلز اسٹڈی پارک اور گرلز ہاسٹلز کے قریب پلانٹ لگایا گیا ہے۔ مفاہمتی یادداشت  کے مطابق ہیلپنگ ہینڈز فار ریلیف اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ نے اس پراجیکٹ کی 100 فیصد مالی امداد کی ہے جبکہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر نے طالبات اور اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی کمیونٹی کے لیے صاف پانی کی ضرورت کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے اس منصوبے کی تجویز پیش کی۔ واٹر فلٹریشن پلانٹ کی باضابطہ وصولی کے وقت اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے رجسٹرار شجیع  الرحمن، ڈاکٹر محمد لطیف پرنسپل آفیسر اسٹیٹ کیئر، انجینئر توصیف ایکس ای این انجینئرنگ سیکشن اور سلمان محمود قریشی، شعبہ خصوصی تعلیم کے فیکلٹی ممبران کے ہمراہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے پراجیکٹ پارٹنر کے طور پر موجود تھے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر نے سلیم احمد منصوری کنٹری ڈائریکٹر ہیلپنگ ہینڈز فار ریلیف اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے ہیلپنگ ہینڈز فار ریلیف اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ کی تمام ٹیم کا بھی شکریہ ادا کیا جن میں ساجد علی ڈائریکٹر آپریشن، محمد جودت کامران پروگرام منیجر ایمرجنسی رسپانس اینڈ ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ، محمد ایاز ہیڈ آف ایڈمن ڈیپارٹمنٹ، عابد علی ریجنل پراجیکٹ آفیسر جنوبی پنجاب اور نوید احمد شامل ہیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر نے بتایا کہ یہ پراجیکٹ شعبہ سپیشل ایجوکیشن کی کامیابیوں کا ایک سلسلہ ہے جو امداد اور ترقی کے لیے تعاون کرنے کے لیے ہے۔ سلیم احمد منصوری کنٹری ڈائریکٹر ہیلپنگ ہینڈز فار ریلیف اینڈ ڈویلپمنٹ نے پراجیکٹ کی فوکل پرسن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر کی کاوشوں کی تعریف کی جنہوں نے 2020 سے متعدد MOUs میں شرکت کے لیے ریلیف اور ڈویلپمنٹ کے لیے ہیلپنگ ہینڈز کے ساتھ ایک لنک تیار کیا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر نے شرکاء کوبتایا کہ مفاہمت کے ذریعے شعبہ خصوصی تعلیم اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے طلباء کو اسکالرشپس، انٹرنشپ، ایونٹس مینجمنٹ اور مشترکہ سرگرمیوں کی تنظیم کے لیے عمومی طور پر اور خصوصی افراد کے لیے خصوصی طور پر اسکالرشپس کی صورت میں مالی امداد ملی ہے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر غلام مصطفیٰ ڈین فیکلٹی آف میتھمیٹکس اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز نے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر کی کاوشوں کو سراہا۔
