Department of Data Science

The main objective of the Data Science Department is to meet the technological challenges posed by the recent advancements in the emerging fields of Big Data and Data Analytics and to meet the future needs of the country. The Data Science program has been designed to prepare the students with the knowledge and skills needed to design and develop modern systems for business intelligence and data analytics that will not only be helpful in decision-making but also in visualizing the prediction and association prospects of data. More specifically, the program aims to help students in developing the planning, deployment, and monitoring of the data analysis techniques and methods, to design and build intelligent and efficient data analysis systems in various fields of life. This will meet the growing needs for experts in the rapidly evolving century by delivering quality education based on state-of-the-art technologies. The BS Data Science program will enable the students to capitalize on the increasing career opportunities in the relevant industry, to increase knowledge, and to pursue Masters and Doctoral studies.
