To establish the National Research Center of Intercropping (NRCI) as a globally recognized center of excellence in sustainable, climate-smart, and resource-efficient agriculture, advancing innovative intercropping technologies that strengthen food security, enhance farmer livelihoods, and protect natural resources.
Mission
To develop, validate, and disseminate science-based intercropping technologies through interdisciplinary research, innovation, capacity building, and national and international collaboration. NRCI is committed to integrating crop science, molecular breeding, precision agriculture, climate-smart farming, artificial intelligence, and modern agronomic approaches to improve productivity, resource-use efficiency, environmental sustainability, and the economic well-being of farming communities.
