Islamia University of Bahawalpur Observes World Environment Day with Awareness Walk and Project Exhibition
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Institute of Agro-Industry and Environment, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized an awareness walk and project exhibition. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran specially participated in the event. He stated that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, implementation of zero plastic use and zero pollution on campus is essential. He emphasized the importance of eliminating plastic pollution, stating that it is crucial to "Beat Plastic Pollution." He appreciated the students for choosing themes such as a plastic-free society for their projects. On this occasion, Dean Faculty of Agriculture and Environment Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi, Director Institute of Agro-Industry and Environment Dr. Ghulam Hassan Abbasi, former Dean Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jameel, along with faculty members and students, were also present.

ماحولیات کے عالمی دن کے موقع پر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف ایگرو انڈسٹری اینڈ انوائرمنٹ فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ انوائرمنٹ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں آگاہی واک اور پراجیکٹس نمائش کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے اس سرگرمی میں خصوصی طور پر شرکت کی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کے وژن کے مطابق کیمپس میں زیرو پلاسٹک یوز اور زیرو پولیوشن پر عمل درآمد کیا جائے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بیٹ پلاسٹک پولیوشن یعنی پلاسٹک سے پھیلنے والی آلودگی کا مکمل خاتمہ بہت ضروری ہے۔ ہمارے طلبہ نے اپنے پراجیکٹس میں پلاسٹک فری سوسائٹی جیسے موضوعات کو ہی چنا ہے اس موقع پر ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ انوائرمنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر حسین ترابی، ڈائریکٹر انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ایگرو انڈسٹری اینڈ انوائرمنٹ ڈاکٹر غلام حسن عباسی اور سابق ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر معظم جمیل و اساتذہ اور طلبا وطالبات موجود تھے۔
