IUB 100th anniversary celebrations: veterans teachers organized a grand ceremony at Abbasia Campus

The 100th anniversary celebrations of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur are being celebrated in a grand manner. In this regard, yesterday, the veterans teachers organized a grand ceremony at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall Abbasia Campus. The session was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the services of the former teachers. Professor Dr. Rozina Anjum presented a poetic tribute to Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in which she beautifully presented her devotion to the institution through the metaphor of the bond between soil and flowers. Justice Muhammad Mahmood, in his address, praised the teachers as the architects of the nation. Chief Guest Mian Usman Khan Abbasi, while highlighting regional concerns, urged the university to guide 10 local students annually to excel in CSS examinations, thus strengthening the social influence of the region. He pledged his full support for this initiative. Special thanks were extended to Principal Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Dr. Sofia Farrukh and Principal Government SE College Bahawalpur Dr. Rana Imran Arshad. Vice Chancellor University of Southern Punjab Multan Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar shared his valuable experiences and a strategy to advance regional education. Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Muhammad Amjad Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Ghulam Mustafa Dean Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Director IOP Prof. Altaf Hussain, Athar Malik, correspondent Nawa-e-Waqt and Amin Abbasi were present on the occasion. Professor Dr. Aslam Adib, Professor Dr. Saleem Tariq Khan, and Professor Dr. Rao Afzal Khan expressed their views and reiterated their commitment to serve the university. The program was moderated by Professor Dr. Rana Muhammad Shahzad. Professor Dr. Muhammad Asghar Hashmi delivered the welcome address, and Professor Dr. Abdul Jabbar concluded with the vote of thanks. Shields were presented at the end of the ceremony.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی 100 سالہ تقریبات شاندار انداز میں منائی جا رہی ہیں۔ اسی سلسلے میں گزشتہ روز ویٹرنز اساتذہ نے ایک پروقار تقریب غلام محمد گھوٹوی ہال عباسیہ کیمپس میں منعقد کی۔ سیشن کی صدارت وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کی۔ وائس چانسلر نے سابق اساتذہ کی خدمات کو سراہا۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روزینہ انجم نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کو ایک شاعرانہ خراج تحسین پیش کیا، جس میں مٹی اور پھولوں کے درمیان بندھن کے استعارے کے ذریعے ادارے سے ان کی عقیدت کو خوبصورتی سے پیش کیا۔ جسٹس محمد محمود نے اپنے خطاب میں اساتذہ کرام کو قوم کے معمار کے طور پر سراہا۔ مہمان خصوصی میاں عثمان خان عباسی نے علاقائی خدشات پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے یونیورسٹی پر زور دیا کہ وہ سالانہ 10 مقامی طلباء کو سی ایس ایس کے امتحانات میں بہترین کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرنے کے لیے رہنمائی کرے، اس طرح خطے کے سماجی اثر و رسوخ کو تقویت ملے گی۔ انہوں نے اس اقدام کے لیے اپنے مکمل تعاون کا وعدہ کیا۔ پرنسپل قائداعظم میڈیکل کالج ڈاکٹر صوفیہ فرخ اورپرنسپل گورنمنٹ ایس ای  کالج بہاولپور ڈاکٹر رانا عمران ارشد کا خصوصی شکریہ ادا کیا گیا۔ وائس چانسلر یونیورسٹی آف سدرن پنجاب ملتان پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد مختار نے اپنے قیمتی تجربات اور علاقائی تعلیم کو آگے بڑھانے کے لیے ایک حکمت عملی سے آگاہ کیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز، پروفیسر محمد امجد ڈین فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی، پروفیسر غلام مصطفی ڈین فیکلٹی آف فزیکل اینڈ میتھمیٹیکل سائنسز، ڈائریکٹر آئی او پی پروفیسر الطاف حسین، اطہر ملک، نامہ نگار نوائے وقت اور امین عباسی موجود تھے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اسلم ادیب، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلیم طارق خان، اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر راؤ افضل خان نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا اور یونیورسٹی کی خدمت کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ پروگرام کے نظامت کے فرائض پروفیسر ڈاکٹر رانا محمد شہزاد نے ادا کیے۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اصغر ہاشمی نے خطبہ استقبالیہ پیش کیا، اور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالجبار نے شکریہ کے کلمات کا اختتام کیا۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر شیلڈز پیش کی گئی۔
