IUB and Alnoor Foundation organized a seminar titled Women and Ramzan at Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Library, IUB

The Fatima Jinnah Women Leadership Center and the SDGs Collaboration Center in collaboration with Alnoor Foundation successfully organized a seminar titled Women and Ramzan at Jinnah Corner, Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Library, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The seminar commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the event. Dr. Maryam Abbas Soharwardi welcomed Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, professors, Alnoor Foundation team, distinguished speakers, students and all esteemed guests. The seminar featured eminent speakers from Alnoor Foundation, including Sadia Hashmi, Huma Embren, and Nighat Hameed. Female faculty members of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur also shared their valuable insights on various dimensions of Ramzan, highlighting the pivotal role and spiritual strength of women during Ramadan. Insightful talks were delivered by Prof. Ismat Durrani, Prof. Mussarat Wajjid, Prof. Dr. Samar Fahad, Dr. Sajjila Kousar, Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi, Dr. Mahe Bushra Asghar, Dr. Noveen Javed, Dr. Maryam Abbas Soharwardi, Sumara Aziz, Naila Gill, Alina Tariq and Amber Husain, Assistant Director of Takmeel Square. The sessions thoughtfully explored themes such as the spiritual essence of fasting, Ramzan and Silah Rahmi (maintaining family ties), Ramzan and the Quran, and the broader social and moral responsibilities of women in nurturing compassionate and resilient communities. In her concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti summarized the key reflections of the seminar, emphasizing the transformative power of Ramadan in strengthening faith, character, tolerance, social & economic justice and harmony.

فاطمہ جناح ویمن لیڈرشپ سینٹر اور ایس ڈی جیز کولیبریشن سینٹر نے النور فاؤنڈیشن کے اشتراک سے جناح کارنر سر صادق محمد خان لائبریری اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں خواتین اور رمضان کے عنوان سے ایک سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا۔ سیمینار ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائینسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی، ڈاکٹر مریم عباس سہروردی سعدیہ ہاشمی ہما ایمبرین اور نگہت حمید نے خطاب کیا۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی خواتین فیکلٹی ممبران نے بھی رمضان المبارک کے دوران خواتین کے اہم کردار اور روحانی طاقت کو اجاگر کرتے ہوئے رمضان کی مختلف جہتوں کے بارے میں اپنی قیمتی بصیرت کا اظہار کیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر عصمت درانی، پروفیسر مسرت واجد، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ثمر فہد، ڈاکٹر سجیلہ کوثر، ڈاکٹر فرحانہ الطاف قریشی، ڈاکٹر ماہ بشریٰ اصغر، ڈاکٹر نووین جاوید، سمیرا اعزیز، نائلہ گل، علینہ طارق اور عنبر حسین  نے شرکت کی۔ سیشنز میں روزے کے روحانی جوہر، رمضان اور سلاح رحیمی (خاندانی تعلقات کو برقرار رکھنا)، رمضان اور قرآن، اور ہمدرد اور لچکدار کمیونٹیز کی پرورش میں خواتین کی وسیع تر سماجی اور اخلاقی ذمہ داریوں جیسے موضوعات کو سوچ سمجھ کر تلاش کیا گیا۔ اپنے اختتامی کلمات میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی نے سیمینار کے اہم مظاہر کا خلاصہ کیا، ایمان، کردار، رواداری، سماجی اور معاشی انصاف اور ہم آہنگی کو مضبوط بنانے میں رمضان کی تبدیلی کی طاقت پر زور دیا۔
