IUB and the Punjab government established three day care centers across three campuses.

On this International Women’s Day, reflecting the shared vision of fostering inclusive opportunities and support for women, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in collaboration with the Women Development Department of the Punjab Government, has established three Day Care Centers at Abbasia Campus, Rahim Yar Khan Campus, and Bahawalnagar Campus. This initiative embodies the forward-thinking vision and leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, demonstrating the government’s steadfast commitment to prioritizing women’s welfare, supporting working mothers, and empowering women across the province.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti (Focal Person), Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha (Coordinator), Mr. Shaji Ur Rehman (Registrar), Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid (Director Public Relations), and the dedicated team emphasize that the Day Care Centers stand as a concrete step toward creating a supportive environment where women can pursue education, professional growth, and personal development with confidence and peace of mind. By providing safe, nurturing, and accessible child care facilities, the university is not only enabling women to balance work and family responsibilities but also fostering inclusive growth and promoting gender equality within academic and professional spaces.
