IUB held a calligraphy and painting competition in connection with celebrating Jashn-e-wiladat Nabi

The University College of Art and Design the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Learning, organized a Calligraphic Painting Exhibition and Competition titled لوح و قلم to celebrate Jashn-e-Wiladat Shan-e-Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen under the Ashra Rehmatul-lil-Alameen program. More than ten educational institutions from Bahawalpur city participated in the exhibition, while over 200 The University College of Art and Design The University College of Art and Design students took part in the competition, showcasing their devotion and creativity through calligraphic artworks using various mediums such as inks, oil and acrylic paints, markers, and oblique pens on paper and canvas. Their compositions beautifully depicted sacred Quranic verses through intricate calligraphic expressions. The exhibition was inaugurated by Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Along with Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Sohail, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Languages, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Dean, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Hafiz Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Director, Seerat Chair, and Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi. Principal University College of Art and Design University College of Art and Design, reviewed and appreciated the creative works of emerging artists. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Asif Khan, Chairperson, Department of English, Dr. Rao Suhail, Dr. Zia Khawaja, Dr. Zershan, Dr. Muhammad Amin, Dr. M. Nadeem, Dr. Ramzan Ashraf, Dr. Ahmad Ali, Dr. Shafqat-ur-Rehman, Dr. Tasawwur Hussain, Dr. Khubaib, and Zahid Suleman, Director, IUB Printing Press and many faculty members from versions departments. Prominent city dignitaries including Syed Tanseen-ul-Hassan, Umber Tanseer, Sumaira Saliha Principal, Government Technical College, Najia Sarwar, and Sobia also graced the event. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the top ten University College of Art and Design students for their outstanding calligraphic compositions, along with cash prizes sponsored by Amjad Bukhari. Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi, Principal University College of Art and Design, appreciated the efforts of the faculty of University College of Art and Design for organizing a spiritually inspiring and artistically enriching event that highlighted Islamic art and aesthetics under the Ashra Rehmatul-lil-Alameen celebrations. As a gesture of gratitude, Dr. Farhana Altaf Qureshi, Principal University College of Art and Design, presented calligraphic artworks to all distinguished guests. The attendees praised the students’ creativity and commended University College of Art and Design for organizing such a spiritually inspiring and culturally enriching event under the Ashra Rehmatul-lil-Alameen celebrations.

یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے شعبہ اسلامک لرننگ کے اشتراک سے عشرہ رحمت اللعالمین پروگرام کے تحت جشن ولادت شان رحمت اللعالمین کے حوالے سے خطاطی پینٹنگ کی نمائش اور مقابلہ لوح و قلم کا انعقاد کیا۔ نمائش میں بہاولپور شہر کے دس سے زائد تعلیمی اداروں نے حصہ لیا، جبکہ یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کے 200 سے زائد طلباءوطالبات نے مقابلے میں حصہ لیا، جنہوں نے سیاہی، آئل اور ایکریلک پینٹ، مارکر، کاغذ اور ترچھے پنوں پر مختلف ذرائع استعمال کرتے ہوئے خطاطی کے فن پاروں کے ذریعے اپنی لگن اور تخلیقی صلاحیتوں کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ ان کی کمپوزیشن میں پیچیدہ خطاطی کے اظہار کے ذریعے مقدس قرآنی آیات کی خوبصورتی سے عکاسی کی گئی ہے۔ نمائش کا افتتاح مہمان خصوصی وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید عامر سہیل ڈین فیکلٹی آف آرٹس اینڈ لینگویجز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمان ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربی سٹڈیز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی ڈین فیکلٹی آف سوشل سائنسز، ڈائریکٹر سیرت چیئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حافظ شفیق الرحمٰن، پرنسپل یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن ڈاکٹر فرحانہ الطاف قریشی نے ابھرتے ہوئے فنکاروں کے تخلیقی کاموں کا جائزہ لیا اور انہیں سراہا۔ اس موقع پروفیسر آصف خان چیئرپرسن شعبہ انگلش، ڈاکٹر راؤ سہیل، ڈاکٹر ضیا خواجہ، ڈاکٹر زرشان، ڈاکٹر محمد امین، ڈاکٹر محمد ندیم، ڈاکٹر رمضان اشرف، ڈاکٹر احمد علی، ڈاکٹر شفقت الرحمان، ڈاکٹر تصوّر حسین، ڈاکٹر خبیب، زاہد سلیمان ڈائریکٹر پرینٹنگ پریس، سید تنسین الحسن، امبر تنصیر، سمیرا صالحہ پرنسپل گورنمنٹ ٹیکنیکل کالج، ناجیہ سرور اور صوبیہ نے بھی شرکت کی۔ یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کے پہلے دس طلباءوطالبات کو ان کی شاندار خطاطی پر تعریفی اسناد کے ساتھ امجد بخاری کے زیر اہتمام نقد انعامات سے نوازا گیا۔ ڈاکٹر فرحانہ الطاف قریشی، پرنسپل یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن نے یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کی فیکلٹی کی جانب سے عشرہ رحمت اللعالمین کی تقریبات کے تحت اسلامی فن اور جمالیات کو اجاگر کرنے والے روحانی طور پر متاثر کن اور فنکارانہ طور پر افزودہ تقریب کے انعقاد پر کاوشوں کو سراہا۔ ڈاکٹر فرحانہ الطاف قریشی نے تمام معزز مہمانوں کو خطاطی کے فن پارے پیش کیے۔ شرکاء نے طلباء کی تخلیقی صلاحیتوں کی تعریف کی اور یونیورسٹی کالج آف آرٹ اینڈ ڈیزائن کو عشرہ رحمت اللعالمین کی تقریبات کے تحت اس طرح کی روحانی طور پر متاثر کن اور ثقافتی طور پر افزودہ تقریب کے انعقاد پر سراہا۔
