The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in collaboration with Bahawalpur Garrison has launched a Tourism Chapter for students. This initiative will provide the students with an experience of co-curricular as well as curricular activities. It was the perfect blend of adventure, learning and national pride, which showcased the immense potential of Pakistan’s tourism landscape. The students planned and executed a basic itinerary. During the trip, the students gained awareness about eco-tourism and sustainability, exploring ancient sites with a focus on preserving natural beauty, and recognizing cultural heritage. From the breathtaking scenery to the lessons of leadership and discipline, this trip has been a transformative chapter in the academic lives of our students. The students visited various palaces in Bahawalpur including Noor Mahel Darbar Mahel and Gulzar Mahel besides visiting Fort Derawar in the Cholistan Desert The students thanked the Pakistan Defence Forces and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur for making this collaboration a reality.
