IUB organized a session with female students to spread awareness and encourage women's education

Prof. Dr. Yasmeen Rufi Director School of State Sciences Islamia University Bahawalpur has said that Jamia Islamia is providing the best opportunities for higher education for women and girls in South Punjab.Higher education opportunities are critical to their empowerment, economic independence, and overall well-being. Dr. Yasmin Rufi expressed these views while speaking in a seminar organized in connection with the admission campaign of Islamia University Bahawalpur.  She said that higher education enables women to break free from the chains of traditional gender roles and socio-economic constraints. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Jabeen, head of the Department of Pharmacy, said that through higher education, women can gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed choices, challenge social stereotypes, and become active participants in their families, communities, and the economy.  Prof. Dr. Areeba Khan, head of the finance department, said that by investing in higher education opportunities for women and girls, their potential can be highlighted.  By promoting gender equality, we can bring positive change in South Punjab.  On this occasion social leader Ambar Tanseer, Fatima Junaid Deputy Registrar, Nadia Noreen Public Relations Officer Bahawalpur Museum and Lecturer Alina Tariq said in their address that education helps women develop critical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills. This enables them to address specific challenges and issues facing their communities, such as gender inequality, health care, and education.The participants said that the ongoing educational programs in Islamia University Bahawalpur provide the best opportunity for success in life for local students and women. We should support and encourage girls and women to pursue higher education and convey the message of knowledge and enlightenment in urban and rural areas.  In this regard, special seminars will be organized for local students and women in Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan under the leadership of Professor Dr. Yasmin Rufi.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر یاسمین روفی ڈائریکٹر سکول آف اسٹیٹ سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے کہا ہے کہ جامعہ اسلامیہ جنوبی پنجاب میں خواتین اور لڑکیوں کے لیے اعلیٰ تعلیم کے بہترین مواقع فراہم کررہی ہے۔ اعلی تعلیم کے مواقع ان کو بااختیار بنانے، معاشی آزادی اور مجموعی بہبود کے لیے اہم ہیں۔ ڈاکٹر یاسمین روفی نے ان خیالات کا اظہار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی داخلہ مہم کے سلسلے میں منعقدہ سیمینار میں خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اعلی تعلیم خواتین کو اس قابل بناتی ہے کہ وہ روایتی صنفی کرداروں اور سماجی و اقتصادی پابندیوں کے زنجیروں سے آزاد ہوسکیں۔  پروفیسر ڈاکٹر قیصر جبین سربراہ شعبہ فارمیسی نے کہا کہ اعلیٰ تعلیم حاصل کرکے خواتین باخبر انتخاب کرنے، سماجی دقیانوسی تصورات کو چیلنج کرنے اور اپنے خاندانوں، برادریوں اور معیشت میں فعال شراکت دار بن کر علم، ہنر، اور اعتماد حاصل کرسکتی ہیں۔ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اریبہ خان سربراہ شعبہ فنانس نے کہا کہ خواتین اور لڑکیوں کے لیے اعلیٰ تعلیم کے مواقعوں میں سرمایہ کاری کرکے ان کی صلاحیتوں کو اجاگر کیا جاسکتا ہے۔ صنفی مساوات کو فروغ دیتے ہوئے جنوبی پنجاب میں مثبت تبدیلی لا سکتے ہیں۔ اس موقع سماجی رہنما عنبر تنصیر، فاطمہ جنید ڈپٹی رجسٹرار، نادیہ نورین پبلک ریلیشنز آفیسر بہاول پور میوزیم اور لیکچرار علینا طارق نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ تعلیم خواتین کو تنقیدی سوچ، مسئلہ حل کرنے اور قائدانہ صلاحیتوں کو فروغ دینے میں مدد کرتی ہے، جس سے وہ اپنی کمیونٹیز کو درپیش مخصوص چیلنجوں اور مسائل، جیسے صنفی عدم مساوات، صحت کی دیکھ بھال اور تعلیم سے نمٹنے کے قابل بنا سکتی ہیں۔ شرکاء کا کہنا تھا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور میں جاری تعلیمی پروگرام مقامی طالبات اور خواتین کے لیئے زندگی میں کامیابی کا بہترین موقع فراہم کرتے ہیں۔ ہمیں چاہئے کہ لڑکیوں اور خواتین کی اعلی تعلیم کے حصول کے لیئے مدد اور حوصلہ افزائی کریں۔ شہری اور دیہی علاقوں میں علم اور روشنی و آگہی کا پیغام پہنچایئں۔ اس سلسلے میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر یاسمین روفی کی قیادت میں بہاولنگر اور رحیم یار خان میں بھی مقامی طالبات اور خواتین کے لیئے خصوصی سیمینار منعقد کئے جائیں گے
