IUB organized “Eco Shark Tank” where students had pitched their problem-solving business-oriented ideas

The Department of Economics the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Economist Student Club had organized “Eco Shark Tank” where students had pitched their problem-solving business-oriented ideas. The students had experienced with real time pitching experience for startup funding. Each group was given 5 minutes to explain their business idea and then evaluators used different techniques to debunk or concur their idea. Dr. Abid Rashid Gill, Chairman Department of Economics encouraged students to develop entrepreneurship skills and motivates them to practically develop their ideas in the long run so that they could solve the problems of unemployment and unstable economic growth. Department of Economics is working on front-line in stimulating entrepreneurship spirit among the students and providing complete entrepreneurial ecosystem to the students therefore the department had introduced entrepreneurship and skill-based courses in our scheme of study. This activity was part of the course “Entrepreneurial Economics.”

شعبہ اکنامکس اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اور اکنامسٹ اسٹوڈنٹ کلب کے زیر اہتمام ''ایکو شارک ٹینک'' کا اہتمام کیا گیا جہاں طلباء نے اپنے مسائل کے حل کے لیے کاروبار پر مبنی خیالات پیش کیے۔ طلباء نے اسٹارٹ اپ فنڈنگ کے لیے حقیقی وقت میں پچنگ کا تجربہ کیا۔ ہر گروپ کو اپنے کاروباری آئیڈیا کی وضاحت کے لیے وقت دیا گیا اور پھر جائزہ لینے والوں نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا ااور مختلف تکنیکوں کا استعمال کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا۔ ڈاکٹر عابد رشید گل، چیئرمین شعبہ اکنامکس نے طلباء کی حوصلہ افزائی کی کہ وہ کاروباری صلاحیتوں کو فروغ دیں اور انہیں طویل مدت میں اپنے آئیڈیاز کو عملی طور پر تیار کرنے کی ترغیب دیں تاکہ وہ بے روزگاری اور غیر مستحکم معاشی ترقی کے مسائل کو حل کرسکیں۔ شعبہ معاشیات طلباء میں انٹرپرینیورشپ کے جذبے کو ابھارنے اور طلباء کو مکمل کاروباری ماحولیاتی نظام فراہم کرنے کے لیے فرنٹ لائن پر کام کررہا ہے اس لیے ڈیپارٹمنٹ نے ہماری اسکیم آف اسٹڈی میں انٹرپرینیورشپ اور ہنر پر مبنی کورسز متعارف کرائے ہیں۔ یہ سرگرمی کورس ''انٹرپرینیورئل اکنامکس'' کا حصہ تھی۔
