IUB Professor Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha has been honored with the SWERA Award 2026 by the NGO World.

Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman, Department of Social Work, and Focal Person, IUB Flood Relief Cell, has been honoured with the SWERA  Award 2026 by the NGO World. The award was presented by Zafar Iqbal, CEO of The NGO World, in recognition of Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha’s outstanding humanitarian services. The award acknowledges his exemplary leadership and dedicated relief efforts during the Floods 2025 in South Punjab. As Focal Person, IUB Flood Relief Cell, Prof. Dr. Ranjha played a pivotal role in coordinating relief operations and extending support to more than 3,000 flood-affected families. In collaboration with Pakistan Overseas Forum, he also facilitated the reconstruction of homes for the most severely affected families building houses for five flood-affected families in Bahawalpur and for sixteen families in Tehsil Alipur, District Muzaffargarh. The award ceremony highlighted his remarkable commitment to community engagement, social responsibility, and compassionate leadership in times of crisis. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur extends heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha on this well-deserved recognition and commends his continued dedication to serving humanity and strengthening the University’s mission of community service.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا چیئرمین شعبہ سوشل ورک اور فوکل پرسن آئی یو بی فلڈ ریلیف سیل کو این جی او ورلڈ کی جانب سے SWERA ایوارڈ 2026 سے نوازا گیا ہے۔ یہ ایوارڈ این جی او ورلڈ کے سی ای او ظفر اقبال نے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا کی شاندار انسانی خدمات کے اعتراف میں پیش کیا۔ یہ ایوارڈ جنوبی پنجاب میں سیلاب 2025 کے دوران ان کی مثالی قیادت اور وقف امدادی کوششوں کا اعتراف کرتا ہے۔ آئی یو بی فلڈ ریلیف سیل کے فوکل پرسن کے طور پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا نے امدادی کارروائیوں کو مربوط کرنے اور 3,000 سے زائد سیلاب سے متاثرہ خاندانوں کو امداد فراہم کرنے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا۔ پاکستان اوورسیز فورم کے ساتھ مل کر انہوں نے بہاولپور میں سیلاب سے متاثرہ پانچ خاندانوں اور تحصیل علی پور، ضلع مظفر گڑھ میں سولہ خاندانوں کے لیے سب سے زیادہ متاثرہ خاندانوں کے لیے گھروں کی تعمیر نو میں بھی سہولت فراہم کی۔ ایوارڈ کی تقریب نے کمیونٹی کی مصروفیت، سماجی ذمہ داری، اور بحران کے وقت ہمدرد قیادت کے لیے ان کی نمایاں وابستگی کو اجاگر کیا۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا کو اس اعزاز پر مبارکباد دی ہے اورانسانیت کی خدمت اور یونیورسٹی کے کمیونٹی سروس کے مشن کو تقویت دینے کے لیے ان کی مسلسل لگن کو سراہا ہے۔
