The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, through its SDGs Collaboration Center, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Horticulture Agency Bahawalpur to promote sustainable horticulture, green development, environmental conservation, and climate resilience. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Patron, SDGs Collaboration Center and Dr. Nayyar Mustafa, Director, Horticulture Agency Bahawalpur. The collaboration covers sustainable landscape design, plantation and urban forestry, water conservation technologies, climate-resilient horticulture, biodiversity conservation, joint research, technical advisory services, capacity building, public awareness, and student internships and fieldwork. The MoU will provide a platform for joint research, training, knowledge exchange, green initiatives, community engagement, and practical learning opportunities for students, contributing to a greener and more sustainable Bahawalpur.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کےایس ڈی جیز کولیبوریشن سینٹرنے ہارٹیکلچر ایجنسی بہاولپور کے ساتھ پائیدار باغبانی سبز ترقی ماحولیاتی تحفظ اور موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں سے متعلق اقدامات کو فروغ دینے کے لیے مفاہمت کی ایک یادداشت پر دستخط کیے ہیں ۔ اس معاہدے پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران ایس ڈی کولیبوریشن سینٹر کی سرپرست پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ بھٹی اور ہارٹیکلچر ایجنسی بہاولپور کے ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر نیئر مصطفیٰ نے دستخط کیے۔ اس اشتراکِ عمل کا دائرہ کار پائیدار لینڈ اسکیپ ڈیزائن شجرکاری اور شہری جنگلات پانی کے تحفظ کی ٹیکنالوجیز موسمیاتی اثرات سے محفوظ باغبانی حیاتیاتی تنوع کا تحفظ مشترکہ تحقیق تکنیکی مشاورتی خدمات استعداد کار میں اضافہ عوامی آگاہی اور طلباء وطالبات کے لیے انٹرنشپ اور فیلڈ ورک جیسے امور پر محیط ہے۔ یہ معاہدہ مشترکہ تحقیق تربیت علم کے تبادلے سبز اقدامات کمیونٹی کی شمولیت اور طلباو طالبات کے لیے عملی مہارت سیکھنے کے مواقع فراہم کرے گا جس سے ایک سرسبز اور زیادہ پائیدار بہاولپور کے قیام میں مدد ملے گی۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
