MoU Sign with the Meteorological Department and other agencies for agricultural devolvement in Cholistaan

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is expanding cooperation with the Meteorological Department and other agencies for agricultural research and resettlement of millions of acres of land in Cholistan through a special system of rainfall augmentation and mutual cooperation and partnership agreements are being signed. Weatherwalay is a private digital meteorological organization that uses technology to forecast the weather on modern lines. Mutual collaboration between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Weatherwalay institution will provide internship and employment opportunities to university students. Students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will be made meteorological ambassadors. Cooperation in setting up meteorological centers at the university and Cholistan will be promoted. The weather forecast for agriculture in South Punjab will be improved. Appropriate technical support will be provided for the rainfall augmentation project. International meteorological information will be exchanged and a database will be set up. The agreement was signed by Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Gohar Ayub Khan Station Development Weatherwalay. Renowned meteorologist, University Alumni Muhammad Hanif and Dr. Ali Raza, Director, National Research Center, Intercropping Technology, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur were present on the occasion.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور زرعی تحقیق اور چولستان کی لاکھوں ایکٹر اراضی کو بارشوں میں اضافے کے خصوصی نظام کے ذریعے آباد کرنے کے لیے محکمہ موسمیات اور دیگر اداروں سے تعاون بڑھا ر ہی ہے اور باہمی تعاون اور اشتراک کے معاہدے کیے جا رہے ہیں۔ ویدر والے ڈیجیٹل موسمیاتی معلومات مہیا کرنے والا ایک نجی ادارہ ہے جو ٹیکنالوجی کی مدد سے جدید خطوط پر موسمیاتی پیشگوئی کرتا ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور ویدر والے ادارے کے مابین باہمی اشتراک سے یونیورسٹی طلباء و طالبات کو انٹرنشپ اور ملازمت کے مواقع میسر آئیں گے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے طلباء وطالبات کو موسمیاتی سفیر بنایا جائے گا۔ یونیورسٹی اور چولستان میں موسمیاتی مراکز کے قیام میں تعاون کو فروغ دیا جائے گا۔ جنوبی پنجاب میں زراعت کے حوالے سے موسمی پیشگوئیوں کو بہتر بنایا جائے گا۔ بارشوں میں اضافے کے پروجیکٹ کے لیے مناسب تکنیکی مدد فراہم کی جائے گی۔ موسمیات کے حوالے سے بین الاقوامی سطح پر معلومات کا تبادلہ کیا جائے گااور ایک ڈیٹا بیس قائم کیا جائے گا۔ معاہدے پر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہرمحبوب وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور گوہر ایوب خان سٹیشن ڈویلپمنٹ ویدر والے نے دستخط کیے۔ اس موقع پر نامور ماہر موسمیات، یونیورسٹی ایلومینائی محمد حنیف اور ڈاکٹرعلی رضا ڈائریکٹر نیشنل ریسرچ سنٹر انٹرکراپنگ ٹیکنالوجی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور موجود تھے۔
